TERMS OF SERVICE FOR LIVE COVER: The service fee for Leonardo is $975.00 including GST. This includes a $175.00 non-refundable booking and mare handling fee payable on acceptance of this contract. The service fee for Diamond Park Sinatra is $1,200.00 including GST. This includes a $200.00 non-refundable booking and mare handling fee payable on acceptance of this contract. The service contract carries a Live Foal Guarantee (LFG). If a foal does not eventuate the mare may return to our property the following season for a return service. The booking fee and mare handling fee will apply again. The mare must be wormed prior to delivery to the farm. The grazing fee is $40.00 per week. All mares will be grass fed (baleage will be supplemented at our expense if there is a shortage of grass). If your mare requires any other feed or supplements these must be provided for her at time of arrival. There will be a further $2.00 charge per day to administer feed to your mare. The mare may be removed one week after her last service or she will be scanned for pregnancy 42 days after her last service if she is still at the farm. Vet expenses incurred will be charged directly to the mare s owner. Once pregnancy is confirmed and notified the mare must return home. Any further agistment will be by arrangement only, subject to availability of grazing. 1. All fees due are payable prior to the mare being removed from our property. 2. A LFG will be given once a Vet has scanned the mare in foal at our property or we receive notification of the pregnancy from your Vet. LFG starts from 42 days after last service up to 48 hours of age of the foal. If the mare leaves the farm before being scanned in foal then the balance of the stud fee is payable before departure and LFG is not given until the mare is scanned in foal by your Vet. The LFG does not cover any necessary future booking fees and grazing. 3. The mare owner shall be responsible for and agrees to pay on demand any veterinary fees and charges for the mare. Where possible Kate s Riding Centre Ltd will attempt to communicate with the mare owner prior to the expense being incurred. 4. If applicable the mare s shoes must be removed prior to arrival at our farm. 2
5. Kate s Riding Centre Ltd shall provide all care and attention to the mare but shall not be liable for any loss, damage or claims of whatsoever nature or howsoever arising from injury, sickness or death caused to or sustained by the mare whilst under our care. 6. Kate s Riding Centre Ltd reserves the right to refuse to allow service of the mare if she is in the opinion of us, unfit for service or poses a threat to the safety of either our stallion or ourselves. 7. TERMS OF SERVICE FOR ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION (AI): 1. The service fee for Diamond Park Sinatra is $1,200.00 including GST for AI. This includes a $200.00 non-refundable booking and collection fee payable on acceptance of this contract. 2. Courier charges for the fresh semen will be additional depending on your location. The current price of the Go Priority Air Frieght anywhere within NZ is $124.90 (as at 8/11/2012). 3. We require the shipper to be returned to us within 48 hours at your cost. This is to be returned to: Kate s Riding Centre, 159 Redcliffs Road, RD1, Kerikeri 0294. Any shipper not returned will be charged for at $75.00 per container. 4. The balance of the service fee ($1,000.00) is payable before the shipment of semen takes place. Semen will not be sent unless payment has been received. 5. The service contract carries a Live Foal Guarantee (LFG), which exists up to 24 hours of age of the foal. 6. A LFG will be given once the mare is scanned in foal and we receive notification of this pregnancy from your Vet. This scan should take place 42 days after the AI. 7. A return service can be given in the same season if a pregnancy scan proves negative 42 days after the service. A Veterinary certificate will be required. Booking and collection fees will apply again. 8. If a live foal does not eventuate, a return service the following season will be given. The booking and collection fees will apply again. 9. The client must have their veterinarian who is inseminating their mare complete the Mare Identification & Certification of Insemination sheet to certify that only the mare booked for the insemination will receive the insemination. This sheet will be included within the shipper box with your semen delivery. 4
