RING 0NE JUDGE LISA BAORSOUM ALLEN NPS LEYHILLS INHAND WINTERCHAMPIONSHIP NPS/LEYHILLS STUD M&M IN-HAND CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to Mountain & Moorland ponies registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. In each class the three highest placed ponies which have not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify for the final at the NPS Spring Festival. Handler any age, except for stallions or colts where the handler must be 14 years of age or over. Class 1 Small Breeds, Yearling, 2 and 3 years old Colt, Filly or Gelding. Class 2 Small Breeds, 4 years and over, Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Class 3 Large Breeds, Yearling, 2 and 3 years old Colt, Filly or Gelding. Class 4 Large Breeds, 4 years and over, Stallion, Mare or Gelding. INHAND NPS/KILMANNAN STUD SILVER MEDAL CHAMPIONSHIP (classes 1-4, 1 st and 2 nd prize winners to compete) The owner does not have to be an NPS member for the pony to enter the championship but only ponies owned by NPS Qualifying or Life members can receive the Silver Medal Rosette and qualify for the final The Silver Medal Rosette goes to the Champion, if owned by an NPS member. If the Champion is not owned by an NPS member the Silver Medal Rosette goes to the Reserve if it is owned by an NPS member. Silver Medal Rosette to go no lower than first Reserve (third) provided it is owned by an NPS Member. The qualification and the Sponsor s Rosette go to the Champion, if owned by an NPS member and not already qualified for the M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship final. If the Champion is not owned by an NPS Members or has already qualified then the qualification and the Sponsor s Rosette go to the Reserve Champion, if owned by an NPS member, unless he has already qualified. Ponies may be stripped at the judge s discretion Class 14 Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A & B Class15 Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh C & D RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP (1 st &2 nd prizewinners from classes 10-15 to compete) NPS/MINNS FAMILY ridden Silver Medal Championship: This is judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. The owner s valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve. NPS Winter Championship Qualifying Rounds This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and the NPS affiliated classes will be run under NPS rules. Classes are open to Members and Non-Members of the NPS, but Non-Members will need to become members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival 2019.
