Welsh entries can now be excepted on the day for WPCS bronze medal classes however, medals will ONLY be awarded to an animal listed in the official show record of entries lodged with the WPCS after the show as long as the entries shows the correct name, registration number and owner of the animal. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible for Mountain & Moorland Classes. To compete in Show Pony and Show Hunter Pony classes ponies must be registered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB, the GSB, the
AHSB, the AASB or in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part-Breds are not eligible unless entered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, and Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 1st -3rd August 2017 The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. The Owner s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit. NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships.

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Competitors must ensure that they hold adequate third party insurance cover in respect of any accident caused by themselves, their family, helpers, their vehicles or animals when on the showground. 2. THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL. 3. The organisers, owners of the showground, or any of the committee, officers, servants or assistants shall not in any way be responsible or accountable for any loss, injury or damage that may happen (for any cause or circumstances whatsoever) to exhibitors or their assistants or any member of the public, to any animal or property or to any vehicle brought on to the showground, or any premises used in conjunction with or arising out of or attainable to the show. It shall be a condition of entry that each entrant or spectator shall indemnify the show organisers against such matters aforesaid. 4. Everyone in attendance at this event must abide by the instructions given by officials. 5. WPCS and NPS rules will apply to applicable classes. Please ensure you are familiar with these rules before signing the entry form.
6. All ridden ponies must be four years old and over [unless stated in class description] and registered in their respective stud books, including Part Breds. Correctly secured current British standard hard hats must always be worn whilst mounted. No whip or cane to exceed 30. Spurs are not permitted. Competitors are reminded that it is a legal requirement for passports to be carried when transporting ponies. 7. All objections must be lodged with the Secretary within 30 minutes of the disputed event and confirmed in writing, with a deposit of 20. This will be returned should the objection be upheld. Please note; No Judge may be approached directly regarding an objection. 8. The committee reserves the right to retain all, or part of the entry fees in the event of the show being cancelled. Competitors entering classes which may clash, do so at their own risk. No entry fees will be refunded. 9. No clearing out of horseboxes/ trailers, etc. is allowed on the showground; this includes any litter. 10. Anyone displaying aggressive, rude or threatening behaviour towards judges, show officials or other competitors will immediately be asked to leave the showground, banned from future NPAC shows and if a NPAC member, their membership will be cancelled forthwith with no right of appeal and without refund of any entries or subscriptions. This also applies to social media. 11. The Committee reserves the right to refuse an entry without giving reason, to change judges or to amalgamate/split classes if entries warrant. 12. An exhibitor may not enter a pony in any class which is to be judged by a person who has bred, sold, leased, produced or has had any financial gain from that animal. 13. All dogs must be kept on leads. 14. PLEASE NOTE; Trophies will only be awarded to competitors who are members of NPAC. A 10 deposit will be required. 15. Only licensed DVLA drivers can drive motorised vehicles on the showground. 16. Exhibitors are requested not to bring any coughing animal onto the showground and may be requested to remove any such animal.
