PINTO HORSE & PONY ASSOC. SHOW RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY For full show regulations, see nominations desk 1. All rules as per the PHPA show rules. 2. Pinto classes are open to any REGISTERED Pinto. Papers must be shown at time of nomination. 3. Competitors must be a financial member of the Pinto Assoc. that the shown horse is registered with. 4. Breed classes are open to all coloured horses.they also must be registered with their relevant breed assoc. 5. Competitors in an Amateur Owner class, must hold a current A/O card with their relevant assoc. 6. All entries are to be entered in the registered owners name, not the trainer or handler s name. Ridden classes can show in rider s name. 7. Stallion and Colts are to only be shown by an Adult (18+). 8. Judges decision is final. 9. Should the height of any entry be queried by a Judge, Committee member or competitor, that horse/pony MUST be presented for measuring as required. Refusal to comply may result in loss of points, removal from classes or a request to leave the grounds. 10. It is a condition of entry that all competitors must abide by the PHPA Rules & Code of Ethics, failure to conduct oneself in accordance may result in removal from the ring and or grounds at the discretion of the Judge or show organisers. 11. Any Protest can be made in writing along with a $100.00 Protest fee at the nominations desk within 15 minutes of the event. Should the protest be deemed frivolous, the fee will be forfeited. 12. The PHPA Inc. assumes no responsibility for injury or damage to livestock, person or property of any owner, competitor or assistant. Each participant by the act of their entry waives all claims on the PHPA Inc. and members. 13. ALL riders MUST wear an approved helmet AS 3838 or better. A waiver MUST be signed if over 18yrs and you choose not to wear a helmet for western classes. 14. ALL Youth (Under 18) MUST wear a helmet in ALL led and ridden classes. 15. Youth Handlers - led classes (5 18 years of age) Age is calculated as age on the 1st August. 16. Youth Classes ridden (7 18 years of age) Age is calculated as age on the 1st August. 17. All Youth competitors to be 18 Years or under to compete at the date of the show. 18. The Committee Reserves the right to alter the programme if necessary. 19. Touching below the shoulder or placing of feet will not be permitted. 20. WHIPS: Small crops/hacking canes will be permitted in the arena for halter classes, dressage length whips are prohibited, whips may be carried by the handler but must not exceed 75 cm in length, excessive use of such will not be permitted and may result in the handler being asked to leave the arena. 21. Junior Horse 3 Years to 5 Years for ridden classes; 3 years & under for Halter classes 22. Senior Horse 6 Years and over for ridden classes; 4 years & over for Halter classes 23. Maiden Hack Never to have won a hack class at any show. 24. Novice Hack Not to have won an open hack championship 25. Open Hack Open to all horses. 26. Age of Horse is to be calculated as at 1st August. 27. No Electric Fences Please. 28. To Assist the PHPA in a smooth running of the show classes will NOT be held for anyone, three calls will be made AND GATE CLOSED. 29. Dogs are permitted on grounds, but must be suitably restrained at all times.
