This is a qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: SCOTTISH VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2018 Kindly Sponsored by Allen & Page. Each VHS affiliation in Scotland now holds a PRE-QUAL Supreme Final qualification Open to members and non-members. However, only Members may go forward to the Championship of the day VHS Membership to be applied for no later than 1 week prior to this show, to avoid disappointment. VHS Scottish Supreme (Pre-Judging) Final qualification. ONLY MEMBERS placed 1st to 2nd in each age category will go to the Veteran Championship of the Day. In all classes - if competitors placed1st or 2nd are not Members qualification will be given to 3rd & 4th providing they are Members. Qualification will not go lower than 4th place. If the Champion or Reserve has qualified then 2nd or 3rd reserve may take qualification. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS 2018 Rule Book in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. Champions and Reserve Both In-hand and Ridden must have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. This will qualify through the pre-judging of the Supreme. Competitors to present their Show Card to the judge for qualification. Should the Championship be combined the top 2 ridden and top 2 in-hand go forward. Mountain & Moorland. The highest placed Mountain and Moorland in each class will receive entry to the prejudging of the Mountain & Moorland Supreme Final. Providing they are Members. This maybe carried down to 4th place. To be registered with a Breed Society and hold a current Breed Society passport. Young Rider Championship qualification. A Young Rider qualification will be awarded to the young rider of the Judge s choice, entitling them to enter the Young Rider Championship Prior to the Supreme Final This award is given at the Judge s discretion. The Scottish Regional Group of Arabian Horse Supporters Horse Show is affiliated to the Arab Horse Society and is conducted in accordance with the Show Rules and Regulations of these organisations. 2. All exhibits entering the affiliated classes must be registered by the closing date for entries in the appropriate stud book or register of the AHS and copy certificates, showing current owner and address are required with all entry forms. Incomplete entries will be returned. 3. The Show Committee does not accept liability for any accident, death, illness or injury to horses, owners, riders, spectators, or any other persons or property. Exhibitors mustindemnify the Show Committee against all actions, costs, claims, demands or liability arising out of any action in which he or she may be concerned. No person other than show officials and competitors are allowed in the show ring at any time unless with permission. 4. The judge s decision is final. 5. Depending on the number of entries received classes may be divided, amalgamated or cancelled at the discretion of the Show Committee. All rights reserved 6. The Committee reserve the right to refuse entry or expel from the show, any person who does not obey the requests of the Show Officials. 7. No entry will be accepted without the correct entry fee. Entry fees are neither refundable unless a signed Veterinary Certificate can be produced nor transferable to another class UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. 8. Riders must only work in in the designated areas. 9. Dogs are the responsibility of the owner if brought to the show and must remain on a lead at ALL times. 10. Small overpayments of Entry fees of 3.00 or less will be donated to Cancer Research. 11. Requests to delay classes/ enter the ring must be made to the Steward/Judge, not the Show Secretary 12. All entries are taken as an acceptance of the above rules and conditions and acceptance of the AHS rules for Showing. 13. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR No person shall be mounted on a horse on the showground unless he/she is wearing a correctly fitting hard hat. The Arab Horse Society and SRGAHS strongly recommends that hats conform to the standards EN1384 or PAS 015 and are correctly fitted with chinstraps. This is compulsory for anyone under 18 and for anyone taking part in Show jumping classes. 14. Anyone who wishes to wear a Top Hat or Beagler whilst riding must understand that you do so at your own risk. Should you have an accident during, or on the way to or from this class or any other class/championships you take full responsibility and will not hold SRGAHS responsible in any way whatsoever. Please Note: Due to circumstances beyond the control of the S.R.G.A.H.S., classes may occasionally clash. Competitors must choose in which class they wish to compete. Ridden competitors must use designated external warm up areas.

Caledonian Showing Championships The Caledonian Showing Championships are now well established in the showing calendar and will once again give 2018 competitors the opportunity to compete at a top level Championship Final in Scotland. Evening Performances, loads of bling and razzmatazz... everything an end of season Championship should have! This year s show will be held at Highfield @ Howe, near Ladybank, Fife on 13/14 October 2018 This Show is a qualifier and every horse & pony placed 1 st and 2nd in all Inhand, Ridden Showing classes (not fun classes) & Working Hunter/Pony classes will qualify to compete in any appropriate class at the Finals. Qualification will be from placings, no qualification cards will be awarded in the ring, and no qualification can go down the line. Qualification is for the Horse & Pony except for Adult/Young Handler classes, where the Handler qualifies. All qualified horses and ponies will be listed on the Caledonian Showing Show s website www.caledonianchampionships.webs.com where you will also find a regularly updated list of qualifying shows as well as a wealth of other information. RIDING IS A RISK SPORT Although all due care and attention will be paid to matters of safety and Health and Safety, persons attending the show do so at their own risk. The Scottish Regional Group of the Arab Horse Supporters accepts no responsibility for injury or loss to persons or possessions, how so ever caused. It is strongly advised that persons attending the show have in place personal and public liability insurance cover. Stables must be booked directly with the venue Please book early to ensure that suitable arrangements and that your place is reserved.

VETERAN HORSE SOCIETY (VHS) VETERAN OF THE YEAR QUALIFYING CLASSES Qualifier for the Pre-Qual Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2018 Open to VHS members and non-members, however, only VHS Members may go forward to the Championship. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. Class 75 Diamond Veteran In Hand (25 years and over).

(Classes 62-64 Entry Fee 15.00 for SRGAHS Members 20.00 non-members) VHS Veteran of the Year Ridden Championship VHS Scottish Supreme (Pre-Judging) Final qualification ONLY VHS MEMBERS placed 1 st to 2nd from classes 62-64 (each age category) will go forward for this Championship. If competitors placed 1st or 2nd are not VHS members, eligibility for the Championship will be given to 3rd & 4th providing they are VHS Members. Eligibility will not go lower than 4 th place. Champion & Reserve will qualify for the VHS Veteran of the Year Championship.
