The theme? anything Northampton Colts related or the Nautical theme that we re doing at school. Red Ribbon Week October 24-28, 2016 Red Ribbon Week is scheduled for October 24-28, 2016. This is a special week set aside to help our children become more aware of the dangers of illegal drug use. Monday, October 24-Let s show our Grateful Attitude by focusing on what is going well. Red Ribbon Day Members of the Character Club will tie red ribbons around the trees in front of the school. The staff and students will receive a special Just Say No Spirit Stick to put on backpacks. Tuesday, October 25-Let s show our Intentional Loyalty by honoring commitments. Let s Team Up Against Drugs! -Staff and students may wear a team shirt or jersey. Students will view information about staying drug free. Wednesday, October 26-Let s show Empowering Education by setting and reaching goals. Sail Away from Drugs. Student will receive a boat cutout to write facts about the dangers of drugs or anti-drug slogans. These will be displayed in the classroom. Thursday, October 27-Let s show Creative Culture by never stop dreaming big. Vote to be Drug Free. Staff and students may wear red, white and blue. Students will participate in a classroom lesson about the dangers of drugs. Friday, October 28-Let s show our Collaborative Culture by being a team player and saying NO to drugs. Students will sign a Red Ribbon Week Pledge card. After each student signs the pledge card the classroom teacher will show student recognitions by handing each student a red paper ribbon. The students will place their name on the red ribbon and then, with their class, put their ribbons on the Northampton Says NO to Drugs display outside the library.

Northampton Elementary wants to help fight to find a cure for Breast Cancer. We are accepting donations starting October 19th through October 31 st. All donations will be donated to MD Anderson Cancer Center from Northampton Faculty, Staff & Students. We will wear pink on Tuesday, November 1 st to show our support. There will be a pink donation box at the front office for donations. We will accept cash or checks made out to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Thank you for your support in this cause to help fight Breast Cancer.
