News and Info Regarding HRCCC 2011 Season Changes Hi Everyone, The 2011 season is shaping up to be a good one. The loss of Northway St is a real blow for the EP Onroad side of HRCCC. Fortunately we ve managed to secure a new temporary venue outdoors and with summer here and lots of blue skies overhead we should be OK for a few months. The new outdoor on road venue is at 84 Avalon Drive (old Royale Car Company car yard). We re always on the lookout for a new building that could be suitable for racing so if you hear or see anything, please let us know. Club Membership In previous years there has been a limitation on the number of meetings a racer could do before being required to become a member of the club. This system was introduced because HRCCC required the use of New Zealand Radio Control Association s (NZRCA) liability insurance in case of an accident. Part way through this year HRCCC has signed up for its own liability insurance and now the requirement to join the club after a certain amount of meetings has been abolished. This new system has been introduced for people who wish to use HRCCC s facilities on a casual basis, cannot afford to join or realise that joining part way through the year would be non beneficial. HRCCC would like to emphasise that joining the club holds many benefits including discounted race fees, accumulated points towards the club championships and the potential of receiving a trophy at the end of the year. Also of importance is that fact that non members who decide to join the club part way through the season will not get their points back dated. NZRCA Forums and your email address The NZRCA are in the process of creating a new website with a message board/forums attached to it. If you purchase an NZRCA licence with your HRCCC membership, the NZRCA will automatically create an account to these forums under your name. For this to happen however, they need your email address. It is illegal for HRCCC to supply your email address to any third party groups, including the NZRCA, so you will now find a question on the HRCCC membership form as follows: I agree to allowing my email address to be passed onto the NZRCA. If you wish to have access to the new NZRCA forums, launching on the 1 st Jan, you will need to tick this box. The NZRCA will then make contact with you to advise you of your account details.

Please remember that this is a choice you can make, it is not a requirement. If you don t want your email address passed on or have no interest in the forums, leave the box blank. Race Fees Race fees for 2011 season have been set to the following: EP Onroad & Offroad Financial Club Member $8 first car, $6 for each additional car Non Financial Club Member $12 first car, $8 for each additional car GP Offroad & Onroad 18 th Scale Financial Club Member $10 first car, $5 for each additional car Non Financial Club Member $12 first car, $8 for each additional car Financial and Non Financial Members $10 first car, $5 for each additional car EP On road Racing at 84 Avalon Drive Racing will now take place on the 1 st Sunday of every month with the 3 rd Sunday scheduled as a rain day. Registrations will start at 9.00am with racing starting at 10.30am and running through till approx 5pm. Please note as mentioned, Avalon Drive is only a temporary location until a new indoor facility can be secured. The structure of EP On road races is also set to change with the introduction of qualifiers and finals. There will be 3 x 5min qualifiers and 1 x 5min final. Your best time in one of the three qualifiers will be used to seed you into a final. Your result from within that final will then be used to issue you with club championship points. Non Members will not receive points as explained above. Mylaps Personal Transponders for sale HRCCC has 10 new Mylaps personal transponders for club members to purchase. They are available on a first in first served basis. They are $132 each and come with new and improved features only available with the clubs new RC3 Mylaps decoder. Old transponders; club and PT, will still continue to work. Please let me know via secretary@hrccc.co.nz if you are interested in purchasing one. 2010 Memberships Expire Soon Just a friendly reminder, current memberships expire on the 31 st December so don t forget to get your membership form filled out and your subs paid for next year. This way your sorted well before the 2011 racing season begins and no chance of lost points. I ve attached the membership form to this email. It can also be obtained from HRCCC s website www.hrccc.co.nz under the downloads section. Membership fees can now be paid online too!

Just remember you MUST include a copy of the transaction receipt so your payment details can be matched to your membership form. 2011 Seasons Calendars Electric On road 30th January 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 1* 20th February 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 2 20th March 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 3 1st May 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 4 29th May 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 5 3rd July 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 6 7th August 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 7 4th September 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 8 2nd October 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 9 6th November 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 10 4th December 2011, 84 Avalon Drive, Te Rapa Points Round 11 *Note: No fun day for EP Onroad this year. Tamiya M03 (Minis and Swifts) renamed to Tamiya M Chassis With the introduction of the Tamiya M05 M Chassis car, the M03 class is now renamed to M Chassis.
