Competition World Cup U17 * Weapons: foil and epee (athletes may fight both weapons) * Includes fencers at the age of 17 on 31 December 2017 (2000-2017) * Categories A, B and C will compete in the same competition * If there are not enough participants in the women s or men s competition there is a possibility that both genders will fence against each other. This decision will be made by the IWAS. World Cup U23 * Weapons: foil and epee (athletes may fight both weapons) * Includes the age of 23 on 31 December 2017 (1994-2017) * Categories A, B and C will compete in the same competition * If there are not enough participants in the women s or men s competition there is a possibility that both genders will fence against each other. This decision will be made by the IWAS. World Cup Senior * Weapons: foil (A,B,C), epee (A,B,C), sabre (A,B) * Minimum age is 13 years old, according to rule number 55 in the IWAS organisation rule book. * Categories A, B and C will compete separately * If there are not enough participants in the C competition there is a possibility that they will fence against B fencers. This decision will be made by the IWAS. Important information for U17 and U23 World Cup For the U17 and U23 World Cup competitions to be official, there is a minimum of 4 athletes from at least 3 countries participating in the event. If this condition isn t met, the competition can still occur, but unofficially and without points counting for the World Cup rankings.

Athletes are responsible to bring their own aprons used in the epee competition. INSURANCE All members of attending delegations should insure themselves in case of accidents, injuries or illness. The organizer will not accept any responsibility or financial loss or any other responsibility incurred by any of the participants whatsever.
Fees & Referrees Competition entree fee The fee includes accommodation. See that page for more information about the competition fees. IWAS capitation fee The IWAS will collect the capitation fee of 40 Pound Sterling per participant in the World Cup (all team members, athletes, coaches, medical and administration staff) directly from the Teams / National Federation. Referrees World Cup U17 and U23 together: 1 to 3 fencers = No obligation 4 to 7 fencers = 1 referee More than 7 fencers = 2 referees. Referees have to stay for the overall U17 and U23 competition. Delegations that do not provide a referee corresponding to the scale mentioned, will be financially penalized ( 1000) for each referee. Transport & visa Transport Due to the distance between Amsterdam Schiphol airport and Stadskanaal you may have to wait a short while at Schiphol Airport. Off course we will try to transport you as soon as possible. The travel dates are: World Cup U17-U23: World Cup senior: arrival 9th May - departure 12th May. arrival 11th May - departure 15th May. Please inform us about the amount of luggage you will bring along Transportation on other days can be arranged upon request, but an additional fee will be charged. Accommodation Pagedal Hoveniersweg 1 Stadskanaal The Netherlands www.pagedal.nl Special offer World Cup U17 & U23 3 nights 490,- per person ENTRY FEE: (non-refundable) Accommodation for the nights and all meals from dinner on arrival day and breakfast on departure day (included transport from Schiphol airport Stadskanaal and back). Accomodation for the nights of your choice between 9th and 15th May. * Three nights accommodation = 532 euro per person * Four nights accommodation = 594 euro per person * Five nights accommodation = 690 euro per person Additional night are 55 euro per night per person. For two days accommodation or using own transport please contact the organisation for reduced prizes. All teams will be accommodated in a bungalow (3 persons sharing a bungalow with 2 bedrooms).
