Equifest This show is affiliated to Equifest - Held at East of England Showground on the 9 13th August 2017. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify for the following classes 11,12,15,16,17,18,19, This applies to shows held on 14 th May, 4 th June & 2 nd July. Sept 3 rd will hold qualifiers for WH horses/ponies and M&M for 2108 Equifest It s not just for horses, due to popular demand we are adding a dog class to the show schedule! Do you have a talented or cute dog? If so bring them along to the Barleyfields Riding Club Show on the 7 th May, 1 st July & 2 nd Sept No show piece is required, just a fun class where you and your dog can strut their stuff and show off their talent to the judges. On 9 th & 10 th September 2017. The highest placed home-produced pony/horse 15 yrs of age & over within the following classes will qualify. Classes 1,2,5,6,7,8,11,12,15,16,17,18,19,21,22,23,24,25,26. Qualification card will be handed out in the ring. Senior Showing & Dressage Championships Limited Olympia. Anthony Evans Insurance first round qualifiers on 14th May, 4th th June and 2nd July 2016 & 6 th August 2017 The following applies to classes 13 & 14 The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced First Round Qualifiers only are open to both members and non-members of SSADL. No spurs, no Galloping, no wearing of face/body jewellery. Whips must not exceed 30 inches. Foals are NOT permitted in SSADL classes. SSADL Stallion badges to be worn at all times. For in-hand classes, minimum age of handler =9yr old. For Stallions in-hand or ridden classes, competitors must be 16yrs or over. Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given. Rider/handler/pony/horse combination must stay the same from first/second round qualifiers and the grand final. All competitors should acquaint themselves with SSADL rules before entering. 1st to 3 rd in each class will receive a 10.00 voucher kindly sponsored by Anthony Evans Insurance. Qualification Cards will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation. Competitors only need one Qualification Card for In-hand classes and one qualification card for Ridden classes. Rules & Regulations continued... 14. When jumping long sleeves are compulsory (does not have to be a jacket if the weather is hot) at the judge s discretion. 15. It is recommended that body protectors are worn, however, if a jacket is not worn (due to hot weather) it is then compulsory to wear a body protector in all jumping classes. 16. All risk assessments for setting up and running of shows are available for inspection in the office at Barleyfields Equestrian Centre. 17. No driving on the show field allowed from 9.00am, unless a vehicle is required for an emergency. 18. All competitors should have completed an entry form and be entered into a class to be allowed access to ride on the field or in any of the arenas on a Riding Club Show day. 19. Ponies not to exceed 148cms 20. Horses/Ponies to be 4 years old or over to compete in any class under saddle Qualifying classes and Information on Qualifiers Dressage David Broome Dressage Championships of Great Britain - Held at Cricklands, Monmouthshire on 28 th 30 th Sept 2018. Horse/rider must be unaffiliated to qualify and achieve 58% or more. Qualifiers at all of our shows throughout the summer. Senior Showing and Dressage Championships There is an extra section within each of our dressage classes please mark your entry if you wish to be considered for the Senior pony/horse section (Horses/ponies 15+) to qualify. Championship held at Onley Grounds, Rugby on 1 st & 2nd September 2018. See their website for more details. Showjumping David Broome Championships - Held at Cricklands, Monmouthshire Senior showjumping on 17-19 August 2018 Junior showjumping on 25-27 August 2018 Qualifiers at all our shows throughout the summer 21. Class 27 riders must be 10 years and under 22. Classes 28 31 riders must be 16 years and under to jump as a pony 23. Adult riders wishing to jump a pony as a horse may do so, provided the pony does not jump as a pony in the junior section on that day 24. Any rider and hose/pony combination which enters class 31 is NOT ABLE to enter classes 27 and 28 25. Riders under 17 years old if wishing to compete on a horse may do so providing they enter in horse classes only. Ring 2 will be held after Class 19, and is open to first and second prize winners from classes 11-19 inclusive. Ring 3 will be held after Class 26, and is open to first and second prize winners from classes 20 to 26 inclusive. Supreme Championship Open to champion and reserve from showing/ working hunter/ in-hand championships and will be held after last of above championships Prize Money of; Champion 50, Reserve 25 Membership Information Single membership is only - 10.00 Family membership, 2 adults and 2 children - 25.00, additional children 5.00 per child after family membership Please see additional membership form to become a member (Please send your membership form in as soon as possible in order for us to have your membership card ready for the first show) Why not become a Barleyfields Riding Club member? There will be no refund of entry fees for any reason. 2. The Judges decisions are final and binding at all times and any confrontation with a judge in the ring is strictly forbidden. However, if you think a rule of eligibility has been broken, then the objection must be placed with the Secretary, in writing, accompanied by a fee of 10.00, within fifteen minutes of the end of the relevant class. This fee will be returned if the objection is upheld. 3. Prize Money if more than 5 entries in the class, 1 st place will receive 5 except the Sash & Medal show; Overall Champion will receive 50, Overall Reserve will receive 25 4. Ages of riders to go from the age at the 1 st January of the current year. 5. IMPORTANT every effort is made to avoid classes clashing but inevitably this can happen and it is the competitors themselves or their helpers who should keep an eye on proceedings in the various rings. If you are likely to be required in another ring you should advise the Steward of the relevant ring that you are likely to be a little late. All competitors must use their own judgement on these situations and the Club cannot be held responsible. Dressage Times take precedence over the other classes and Judges will wait, provided competitors or their helpers advise the relevant steward accordingly. All Judges will have a list of the dressage times so will know the names of people in their classes. 6. Please park within the designated areas facing the fence as directed 7. Please be mindful when reversing of children and horses/ponies. 8. Health and safety rules must be followed at all times. All children must be supervised at all times. 9. Horses/ponies must not be tied up outside of their trailer or horsebox unsupervised. Strictly no mucking out into car park. 10. Any horse/pony behaving in an unfit manner in collecting rings will be asked to leave. 11. Dogs to be kept under control and on a lead at all times and faeces removed. 12. Do not throw litter about these premises litter bins are provided. Equestrian centre animals may pick up and swallow litter left in fields. 13. Hats must be worn and fastened at all times when mounted and be to the current standard. We only have encouraging Judges, Stewards and committee members who are able to support you in the right direction

Ring 4 Showjumping Important Notice - All show jumping including standard classes and team showjumping classes will be jumped at the same time in accordance to the relevant fence heights you wish to jump. Horses and senior riders, ponies and their juniors riders jump at the same time but each class will be divided into horses/ponies / seniors/juniors and with prizes separate. Please ensure you state at time of entry if you are a junior or senior on your entry form. If you are a junior rider but on a horse you will need to compete in the senior rider/horse classes! Accordingly if you are a senior rider on a pony, you will need to compete in the senior rider/horse classes! (Striding in the double will be set at horse distance) Clear round being held from 12.00-12.30am, fence heights can be altered by the competitor or helper prior to jumping the clear round.
