2016 KartSport New Zealand National Sprint Championships KartSport New Zealand Permit Number: 1624A Page 2 of 7 Supplementary Rules Event Status This is a single event run over 4 days to the Regulations, Codes, Rules, Procedures and Specifications of Kartsport New Zealand, these Supplementary Rules and any additional Supplementary Rules issued prior to or during the event. 1. To be held at Agrisea New Zealand Raceway, Airport Rd, Hamilton on 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th of March 2016. Track Direction clockwise Track Limit 34 Track Length 865 meters approx 3. Classes to Compete & Licence Rating: Classes to compete will be confirmed at close of early entries. KartSport New Zealand Licence holders with a 'Tier 1' Sprint rating.. Karting Australia Licence holders with a valid Trans Tasman visa. A or B Karting Australia Sprint rating only. 4. Entry Details: As per Official Entry Form. 5. Race Format: As per KartSport New Zealand Rule P1.16 Option 1. 6. Daily Format: Day 1: Time Trials and Repecharges (if required) for all classes. Day 2: Vortex Mini Rok, Junior 100cc Yamaha, 125cc Rotax Max Light, 100cc Yamaha Heavy, KZ2. Day 3: Cadet Rok, Rotax Max Junior, Open, 125cc Rotax Max Heavy, 100cc Yamaha Light. 7. Race Distances: Heats & Repecharges - 8 Laps, 6Km, Pre-Finals - 12 Laps, 10Km Finals - Cadet & Mini Rok 18 Laps, 15Km, Junior & Seniors 21 Laps, 18Km 8. Scrutineering: Random selected Scrutineering - refer timetable. When requested, competitors are to present their kart to the Machine Examiners. 9. Documentation and Gear Check: Will take place on Thursday 24 th between 4.00pm and 5.30 pm. If you are unable to attend at this time please contact the Convenor (021 330 452) no later than Wednesday the 23 rd March to book for Friday morning documentation and gear check. 10. Signage: Competitors may be required to display sponsors stickers in the designated area on the kart as per Rule G4.7. Sponsors stickers must be in place during official practice, truing runs and all competition plus at any Scrutineering. 11. Dry Tyre Distribution: For restricted tyre classes, only marked DRY tyres supplied at the event can be used during competition. All competitors in tyre restricted (MG- AZ) classes are required to purchase a voucher (either a Full set or a Cadet Set voucher) from their usual outlet. DRY tyres will be distributed between 1.00pm and 4.30pm on Thursday 24th by the Technical Officers. A class by class timetable will be published once late entries close. Each competitor is entitled to one set of DRY tyres per class. DRY TYRES MUST BE USED FOR THE CLASS THEY ARE MARKED FOR. You must present your voucher to receive your tyres.no VOUCHER = NO TYRES. NOTE: Competitors are to supply their own WET tyres, which will be marked if/when they are first used in competition at this event.
12. Masters Classification: (Rule D1.2) will be recognized in all Senior Classes if a green plate background is used as per Rule L2.9 and the Master is indicated on the Entry Form. 13. Transponders: Must be fitted and functioning for all scrutineering, tuning runs and racing. 14. Drivers Briefing: Will be conducted on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the grid out area, or other such place as may be notified. All drivers & signed in parents/legal guardians must attend drivers briefing. 15. Official Notice Board: The notice board is situated at the front of the out grid on the left side. 16. Noise Control: Non-metallic inserts must be fitted between or through barrel and head fins of all air cooled engines except Cadet Rok and Mini Rok. I declare that should I at the time of this event to be suffering from any disability of any kind whether permanent or temporary which is likely to detrimentally affect my control of my kart or my fitness to drive, I will not participate. KartSport New Zealand National Sprint Championship 23 rd to 27 th March 2016 INFORMATION Security Security will be at the complex Wednesday through to Sunday night. KartSport Hamilton will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred. Food /Refreshments Food and refreshments will be onsite from Wednesday through to Sunday. Breakfast will be available from 8am Thursday through to Sunday. The bar will be open at the conclusion of Practice on Friday and racing on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a meal available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights Prizegiving Prizegiving will be held at the Kingsgate Hotel,100 Garnett Ave, Te Rapa, Hamilton 3200 on the 27 th of March 2016 after Tech and Results are Final. Dinner will be served from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. The cost is $40.00 per Adult and Children 15years and younger $20.00 per head. A fully Licenced bar is available opening at 6.00pm. The Prizegiving will start at approximately 8.00pm. A full menu selection will be available on KartSport Hamilton s Website. TrailerSites/ Shelters Trailer sites are available at a charge of $45.00 each for the duration of the meeting. Trailer sites are approx. 6m x 4m. Please be realistic when booking trailer sites If you have a large trailer book and pay for 2 sites. Pit Shelters are available at a charge of $30.00 each. Please indicate your requirements on your entry form. Competitors on the sealed areas are required to have stands and shelters with feet on them so as not to damage the seal NO PEGS. Marquees Marquees are only to be booked through KartSport Hamilton. Please contact Convenor Mike Grimshaw to arrange hire and placement. Vehicle Parking. All vehicles must be parked in designated vehicle parking areas. Any vehicle found to be in the pit confines will be removed. Campervans/ Motorhomes The Club has some space available by the Race Control Tower. Please note there is NO Power available NO Campervans or Motorhomes will be allowed in the pit area. Rubbish Disposal Please use the rubbish bins and fuel dumps provided. At the conclusion of the meeting please leave your pit site clean and tidy.
