ENTRY CRITERIA theafl. standards History: Structure: Pathway: Your club must have a track record of playing Futsal competitively and of serving the community it represents. Clubs must have a full Academy Club structure u8-u16. Clubs must have a full pathway in place to adult Futsal competition or provide a plan demonstrating a willingness to develop such a pathway. Squad: Every team must have a minimum of 12 players eligible for a match day squad. Presence: Your Club needs to have an established social media presence. Image: Your Club needs to have a reputation for quality and professionalism. Values: Confirm a willingness to embrace our values of team spirit, fair play and innovation Represent: Clubs must be willing for the AFL to use the name of the town/city they represent in their team name on our website.

FOUR ROUNDS ONE SEASON theafl season is made up of a league competition followed by a Grand Finals event. ROUND ONE ROUND TWO WHEN: Oct-Jan ROUND THREE WHEN: Jan-Apr ROUND FOUR WHEN: Apr-Jun theafl. season WHEN: Aug-Oct The league competition is played over 4 rounds. so you will play every team in your division 4 times during the season with points added together across all of the age groups to create an olympic style league table at the end of each round. At the end of round 4 your Club will know its final position in the league for the season. Where you finish is very important because it determines seedings for any grand finals events and where there are mutiple divisions in a region it can result in promotion or relegation.
FORMAT FIXTURES Each AFL division has 4 teams. For the 2017/18 season we had two leagues. The North and the South. LEAGUE STAGE At each round teams play 3 x 20 minute fixtures against teams in their age category. The game is one way and played to a rolling clock. LEADING VENUES All of our partner venues have a minimum 200 person spectator provision. We are always looking to add more venues. theafl. venues We host each round of fixtures at a different location so players get to experience new venues. In the North you could play in Durham, Manchester, Carlisle and Tranmere all in the same season!

About theafl. finances
theafl. reasons to join On the money. There is no entry fee for Clubs in season 2018/19. Clubs are required to cover the cost of hosting a round robin event for ages u8, u10, u12, u14 and u16. This equates to 10 hours of court time. -theafl
GENERATING REVENUE T L League Sponsorship: With member Clubs spanning the country we offer unique exposure to businesses. As theafl grows it will attract more interest and sponsor revenues. Any surplus will be shared directly back to Clubs to grow the game. theafl. finances C Club sponsorship: Competing at the top level of junior Club Futsal competition will be a great selling tool for your Club and will help attract interest and sponsorship.

28 th April 2018 Closing date for applications from Clubs to join the AFL season 2018/19. 12 th May 2018 AFL announce team line up for season 2018/19 31 st May 2018 League website goes live with confirmed venues and dates and fixtures. 16 th June 2018 Marketing campaign commences for season 2018/19
25 th August 2018 Full details released for Round 1 of the AFL season. 16 th September 2018 15 th September 2018 Round 1 of the AFL Season. Round 1 results and league tables published on AFL website.
27 th October 2018 Full details released for Round 2 of the AFL season. 17 th November 2018 Round 2 of the AFL Season. 19 th November 2018 Results and league tables published on AFL website. 16 th January 2018 Full details released for Round 3 of the AFL season. 16 th February 2018 Round 3 of the AFL Season. 17 th February 2018 Results and league tables published on AFL website.
