All voted in favor. Approval of April Treasurer s Report Marcy moved to approve, Sally seconded. All voted in favor. OLD BUSINESS 2015 Partnership update and recruitment Marcia presented the most recent report on memberships. The bottom line on membership numbers is comparable to last year and could potentially pick up a few more, but probably the drive is pretty well over. July 4 th Fireworks volunteers will be needed to help collect donations. During the week prior we could put a message on the MEB marquee to make sure people know that donations are being accepted. Thursday nights on the square schedule is set and Marcy will get posters out and will talk to John Dorn about power and restrooms. NEW BUSINESS Chamber Lunch, Minden Opera House 12-1 Matt will be speaking about downtown revitalization. IGA will cater. Website design Marcia has received proposals from Hollman Media, Glenwood & Heartland Hosting. Matt will also contact the group that handles the city s website. We will invite all of them to the next meeting to make a brief presentation. FBLA has asked if we would be open to having a student in our meetings each month. They also discussed creating a community-wide calendar and one student is interested in possibly setting it up. Nobody had any objections, but asked that maybe we keep the number to two. Car show August 22. Last year the Chamber provided a hot dog and hamburger stand. Without the food stand the car show would have lost money. It was decided to do it again this year. A craft fair/ Funky Junk element will be added as well as some kids activities and a bouncy house. Brochure Swap - They charge $4 per location (mostly in Kansas). There is also one for the Nebraska Tourism Association that requires a membership and a fee for the swap. It was decided to work with the city, as they have an intern who is currently working on a similar piece.
