University of Arkansas All-University Cup Participant Handbook 2016-2017 A program of University Recreation
The All-University Cup Regulations published in the Intramural Sports Participant Handbook will be the governing policies for all intramural sports. Participants are responsible for possessing a thorough understanding of these regulations and their implications. The All-University Cup is for all participants in the University of Arkansas Intramural Sports program. The All-University cup will be awarded to one (1) male, one (1) female and one (1) co-recreational team. Teams will accrue points throughout the academic year and the winners will be announces at the conclusion of Intramural Sports activities at the end of the spring semester. The Intramural Sports program will also be responsible for tracking all teams and accrued points. The All-University Cup champions will receive recognition on the All- University Cup plaque and will have their photo featured in the UREC Intramural Sports social media accounts and The Wall of Champions in the HPER Building. Each team must complete the Greek Cup Registration Google Doc. This form will be used for contact information for each Greek Organization. This form must be completed by September 6, 2016. Eligibility and Divisions of Play http://goo.gl/forms/vq90rgzstvslpvdh2 Students- All undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour at the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville campus) are eligible to participate in intramural sports. Full-Time Faculty/Staff- All currently employed faculty and staff members with a UREC membership are eligible to participate in intramural sports. Part-Time Faculty/Staff- Part-Time faculty and staff members with UREC memberships must provide written documentation from his/her department stating that he/she is currently employed by the University of Arkansas Fayetteville with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Spouses- Spouses/partners of any eligible participants are eligible to participate in intramural sports provided that they have a current UREC membership and must be on the same team as their spouse/partner. Points will be accrued for all intramural sports. The All-University Cup teams will participate in the following divisions: Men s (all levels), Women s (all levels) and CoRec.
General Rules and Guidelines All policies and procedures set forth in the Intramural Sports Participant Handbook apply. Teams may enter: A total of 2 (two) point-earning teams in each sport. These teams names must be listed in the All-University Cup registration Google Doc. Defaults: Teams will receive no points for defaulting their game. Forfeits: Teams will lose -25 points for forfeiting any contest or event. Sportsmanship: Teams will receive bonus points at the conclusion of each sport for their sportsmanship rating. The points are as follows: 3.5 4.0 = 20 points 3.0 3.4 = 15 points 2.5 2.9 = 10 points 2.4 and below = 0 points Bonus Points Opportunities for bonus points will be provided through the year. All teams will have prior notification of these events. Tracking Points Intramural Sports will track points throughout the year. It is the responsibility of the teams to bring any discrepancies to their attention by emailing imsports@uark.edu Points will be updated at the conclusion of each sport. Current point standings will be available for viewing the UREC Intramural Sports social media, UREC website and bulletin board located in the HPER building.
