DESCRIPTION In the Entremont Valley, the region where Saint Bernard of Aosta created in 1050 a.c a high mountain hospice for his monks, later escorted by their famous dogs, we offer a star ski safari, radiating from the Orsières village. We combine the use of 92 ski lifts in 7 small ski resorts plus the internationnaly renowed ski resort of Verbier, short climbs with skins to reach magnificient spots in high mountain landscapes. A variety of skiing activities to discover the best of the region between Verbier and the Grand Saint Bernard Pass. We selected a cosy hotel in Orsières, a village from where we can easily reach all the different ski resorts and their numerous ski lifts. The hotel Terminus d'orsières welcomes ski and gastronomy lovers. You will spend a comfortable week in a warm atmosphere of a village hotel! Its new table "Le Quai de l'ours" offers small and large appetites a simple and carefully prepared seasonal cuisine with authentic cuisine inspired by ingredients from local agriculture. This completely renovated hotel,
located in the center of the village of Orsières in Switzerland, is run by a young Franco-Canadian couple, Stéphanie and Damien, both lovers of mountain and nature. You will go skinning to spend an evening and an unforgettable night with the monks of the famous hospice of the Great Saint Bernard - Located in Switzerland on a border pass at 2473 m altitude. At the time, the Romans had already built a temple dedicated to Jupiter. Around 1900, the Hospice built a new building to meet the new needs of hospitality. Today, the Auberge de l'hospice is run by a family that works hand in hand with the monks in the hospice of the Great Saint Bernard. DESCRIPTION Ski off-piste for six days discovering the highest peaks and new valleys with small villages each day, without going by the same itinerary twice. Discover the wild regions of the beautiful 4 valleys, which have been preserved by the Great San Bernard pass and descend 1500 to 2000 vertical metres in untracked snow. Experience a night in a mountain hospice. Drink a glass of wine with the locals and taste their swiss" specialities and produce. ITINERARY DAY 1: Welcome meeting at Terminus in Orciere. Participants and guides meet at the bar at 6 PM. Verification of the individual equipment and distribution of the group equipment when needed. We also will orgnanise a beacon training.
DAY 2: Skiing in the "Super Saint Bernard" area in Switzerland linked to the Crevacol area on the Italian side. DAY 3: One day in the Vicheres Bavon ski area, tree skiing and touring with skins. DAY 4: Ski at la Fouly and enjoy the beautifull tree run or heliski option. DAY 5: Super Saint Bernard ski area, climb with skins to the famous Saint Bernard Hospice (very easy climbing) - stay overnight. DAY 6: Ski touring on the Val Ferret region. The itinerary will be chosen according of the group mood and the snow conditions. Night at Terminus hotel DAY 7: One day of skiing in the area of Verbier. HOW WILL WE FIND UNTRACKED ROUTES From the top of a ski lift, we traverse, hike or skin away from the ski resort to find the secret passages that reward us with descents up to 2000 meters vertical (over 6000 vertical feet) on virgin slopes even after several days of good weahter. Your guides will adapt the daily program according to your skills and mood.

LUNCH & DRINKS: Often group members will pool their money for lunch and wine at the dinner table. Lunchs are often picnics on the mountain when sunny, enhanced by specialities brought by the participants to be shared. Or home cooking in mountain, but when the weather is bad it is very nice to stop on a small dry and warm hut for a traditional meal. Guide lunch is to be offered by the participants. SINGLE ROOMS: (25 per day) A little extra privacy each night for individuals traveling alone who would like a little extra space. WIDE SKIS W/ TOURING BINDINGS (25 per day) : For the ultimate fun factor, we'll get you set up on a great pair of powder skis with touring bindings and skins. You may use your own alpine ski boots with these bindings. AVALANCHE AIR BAG RUCKSACK: (15 per day) 30 years of research and development have made the ABS airbag system what it is today. in his rucksack : radio or mobile phone, first aid kit, tools for repair, space blanket, rope, shovel, avalanche probe...). The guide may ask you to carry such equipment in your rucksack. If you are an experienced mountaineer with your own equipment, bring it with you. WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TOURING SKIS: 9V guides use and recommend wide skis that make all kinds of deep snow fun, allow you to carve on piste and on any hard snow, are light enough to use with touring bindings to go uphill with skins in order to garanty access to untracked snow. CLOTHING: Remember that most of your time will be spent in ski wear. At any time of the season, weather can be sunny and warm, or bitterly cold, windy, snowy or rainy. If properly equipped, you'll enjoy the skiing, whatever the weather. We ski in all conditions. Bring bad weather gear with you, as during major snowstorms we ski fantastic powder in the forest. Plan to have extra clothing and gear in your rucksack each day, which will enable you to adapt to all changes in temperature and weather. Temperature varies with altitude about 10 c. per 1000m. Therefore, the difference in temperature between the valley and the summits will be about 20 c., and even more considering wind chill factor. DAILY RUCKSACK: Small rucksack for daily necessities. 32 liters will be a good choice. Inside your pack you should have: - Goggles with double anti-fog screen orange for bad weather and mirror lens for sun.-scarf or neck-warmer to protect against wind, cold, sun or powder.-sun screen for lips and face (high protection). - Pocket knife for picnics. - Foil Blanket in case of accident (or even chair lift breakdowns). - Spare glove if you fall often! - Beverages, dried fruit, nuts, chocolate, muësli bars... - Shovel and probe. If you have your own, bring them. Your guide may give you such equipment to carry on. - Optional: Camera, video or binoculars. SPECIALITIES FOR THE GRAND 9 VALLEES BUFFET : On Sunday, lunch will be made up of all the specialities brought by the participants, from the homeland or elsewhere. All will be spread out on a table to share. They must be transportable in your rucksack and edible without cooking or drinkable. This lunch will be one of the finest meals you can imagine. HOW TO REACH HOTEL TERMINUS - CH - 1937 ORSIÈRES - SWITZERLAND BY CAR: - From Lausanne and Martigny on Highway # 21 in the direction of Sion. Exit at Orsières. - From Italy, through the Grand Saint Bernard tunnel in direction of Martigny. BY PLANE: Geneva airport. Train to Martigny 2 hours travel, then half an hour shuttle train to Orsieres. BY TRAIN: To Martigny station, then half an hour shuttle train to Orsières.
