How We Serve: LASE serves children with special learning needs by providing early childhood screenings, resource room and speech/language services, and educational consulting services. Jonah Glessner has a joy-filled spirit that touches your heart when you meet him. He walked onto the golf course at Sunset Country Club and stopped, stating, Everything is so GREEN it s beautiful here. Then, as a true third grade boy, he proceeded to run up to the golf carts with little brother, Thaddeus, and pretended to drive - with all the sound effects. Jonah was nominated to be the 2017 Student Ambassador by his LASE teacher at Green Park Lutheran School. Sandi Loduca commented, He definitely is not shy you will enjoy meeting him and his family. Jonah comes from a long line of teachers, including his mom, Anne, and dad, Eric, who teaches science at Lutheran South High School Jonah tests out his driving skills on the golf carts at Sunset CC. and serves as coach of boy s golf. He is competitive in sports, active in Scouts and has played chess since he was six years old. But mostly, Jonah is known for his good heart, and always caring for others. He prefaces many statements with, We could make the world a better place if we That s pretty insightful for a third grader. Jonah s struggles began in early childhood, with language delays and fine motor issues that complicated his entry into his school years. However, the last few years have improved as a result of LASE resources, strategies and partnership with the caring general education teachers at Green Park. Jonah s faith is strong as well as his love of Jesus. When he hears of someone dying, his response is, I hope they were a Christian. LASE is proud to partner with Jonah, his family and the Green Park school community to develop such an incredible God-given potential. The world is already a better place because of knowing Jonah!
