The Kingsway Junior Football Club had a very successful on field and off field season during 2015, culminating in the club achieving Champion Club of the Year for the Subiaco district. This was the second time in the club s existence, replicating the achievement recognised in 2011. A record number of players registered with the club this year, which meant we were able to field teams in all grades of competition from our most junior Auskick players, right the way through to our Year 12 team. Strong numbers expected next year will ensure the club remains able to maximise the
opportunity of creating a strong team and club culture as well as a positive environment for local kids and parents to involve themselves within. Our on field success was evidenced by 5 of our 8 teams playing for premiership points finishing in finals contention, namely our Year 7 s Teal, Year 8 s Teal, Year 10 s, Year 11 s and graduating Year 12 s sides. 4 of these went on to play in Grand Finals, with our Yr7 s, 10 s and 12 s achieving the ultimate accolade in bringing home a premiership flag to the club. Well done to all concerned. We represented Subiaco on many occasions through half time games and Auskick demos, had a number of players push into the Subiaco Colts program as well as good representation at development squads. Here were many individual achievements through overall games played, club games played, district votes and state representation. Congratulations to all players and teams pulling on the teal, black and white jumper for 2015. A strong year on field was backed by a very successful off field performance by all coaches, managers and support staff for each team, as well as a very well organised and operating Executive and wider club committee group. A tireless work ethic from the committee formed the basis of the club s efficient management for both the off season and playing weeks and was complimentary to the success we experienced on field. Thank you to all members involved with the Kingsway JFC for season 2015 we will look to build on the achievements of this year and use it as the basis for another thriving year in 2016. I would like to personally thank the committee which has been instrumental in much of the club s success this year our not negotiables with each team enhanced our club brand and image and was noted by many during the season, envious of the club s success in this department. To Mike, Ryan, Danni, Darrin, John, Brett, Jason and Karina thank yoi to each of you for your efforts this season. A stellar job done by all. Congratulations to the club award winners, Danni and Jason for winning the Overall Clubperson of the year, to Mike for winning the Open Rules Clubperson of the year, to Ryan for winning the Modifieds Clubperson of the year and to Karina for winning the Auskick Clubperson of the year. Well done to the each of you. To our club supporter s network, thank you for your additional monetary support of the club this year. To Rob Steel and the committee and members of the senior club, I also thank you for your efforts during the season, and recognition of the contribution that the junior club makes to the overall sporting club. 2016 will be another big year I am sure and it is important as we have done this year, to have the right people on the committee running the club for its members. I look forward to being involved again in the new year with our great club. SENIOR VICE PRESIDENTS REPORT Michael Wilden: The year was challenging mainly due to lack of ideal numbers causing teams on occasion to play the bare minimum and only getting through thanks to the lower grades playing up even with teams with high numbers even battling to put a team on the park. I would like to thank all the coaches and managers for giving up there time so kids can get on the park. I don't wish to offend anyone by leaving them out of my thank you but I have to mention a few To Jason Noblett a huge
thank you the committee made a decision to buy More equipment Jason not only investigated prices purchased it distributed it and collected it so thanks Jason to Danni I can't say how much work she did taking over in the middle of last year and continued on in 2015. To sort through all the issues and get the data base to where it is now magnificent to the all the other jobs The set up the reports the listening the endless meetings thanks again To Ryan thanks many an ear was bent over a beer thanks for listening and all your efforts not only coaching ground set up getting social functions organised a tireless worker. To john meticulous in every aspect always on the ball and the voice of reason To Ian we didn't always see eye to eye but your passion for this club is truly incredible your efforts to ensure this club is strong on and off have been outstanding you never say to helping and the list of your involvements in many projects this year are too long to mention the club is lucky to have a president like you to all the committee thanks for your commitment and your efforts it's not always fun but certainly is challenging Bodies contributions Daz line marking and his calming influence Thanks to all the life members Thanks to all members JUNIOR VICE PRESIDENTS REPORT Ryan Santich: I would like reiterate Ian and mikes thanks to the committee and especially Danni and johns huge efforts in getting registrations and finances up to date from previous years. A thank you to all coaches, managers and volunteers for their efforts in making the season run smoothly on the field. Congratulations to all premiership and finals sides on their success and to the entire club for winning champion club, it is a reflection of standards set by the committee and followed by all members and spectators. Thanks to all family members for allowing us the time to fulfill our roles. Looking forward to season 2016 TREASURER S REPORT John Pellegrini: See Attached Treasurer s report to be accepted by the room PROPOSED: Warren Lewis SECONDED: Gavin Oliphant SECRETARYS REPORT Darrin McLoughlin: Email list this year had a lot of bounce backs at the start, and as the year progressed this became less. Next year will be a lot better as emails will become the login for parents through sporting pulse Bylaws need some updating and added to the constitution working document for next year Key Register implemented this year
REGISTRAR REPORT Danni Dix: Changes in the way kids register by having mandatory online registrations fairly smooth transition Parents can go online and update details, also look at player history and that kind of information We can use sporting pulse to directly email to the families instead of through a home computer etc.. Major change is registrations open 1 st November Although a decline through the district, we had a slight increase in numbers to 598 with the break down as follows; Auskick 238, Mods 200 and Opens 150. Updated all contacts on sporting pulse Rang families that had left, with most auskickers trying a new sport, and mods too physical the most common reason Rang and welcomed new families A big focus on Auskick for growth of the club Updated player game history which was a mammoth task, thanks to all that helped Coaches and managers for having the game sheets in on time with minimum following up John for his thorough work as treasurer Josh from City of Wanneroo making Kidsport funding a breeze Ray, Rosemary and Shelley for their help and support COACHES COORDINATOR Jamie Wynne: Nil PROMOTIONS Gary Fisher: Nil AUSKICK Brett Lewis: Fantastic year represented by 210+kids and 17 teams, 6 teams in year 1 and more girls playing this year KJFC auskick had many great volunteers in the way of coaches, managers, Canteen management and also just Dads and mums that wanted to help out the teams on game day Auskick session times were changed this year to give the year 3 a better transition to mods and also the PP and year 1 only had a hour session down from the 90 minutes of the past and it worked out really well Auskick due to the help of volunteers put on Various activities but a highlight was the Training session put on by Jamie Wynne for PP to year 2 kids over the school holidays in which over 70+ kids turned up and also a large number of coaches who learnt a whole range of new drills, teaching techniques and also coaches learnt how to speak and encourage the players to bring the whole team together. That training session brought to light a number of things that KJFC Auskick can improve inform the following year We need to get a understanding of who is returning to Auskick next year before registration day, this will help in securing coaches and managers earlier instead of
the last minute so they can go to Coaching courses and be trained from outside the club. Auskick coaches need to have a skill planner that all players need to achieve by the end of the season, like a swimming certificate but obviously they can't be held back a year- it's a guide and It will work for the kids and the betterment of the club in the long term Also we need to have dress standards like the rest of the club in shirts and jackets Whoever is doing this role also needs help, if it's someone else other than me I don't mind doing a handover and helping were possible, or if it is me I would want to have a helper with the proviso that he/ she works closely with the ideas put forward and undertakes the role for the final 6 weeks of the season due to me coaching year3 and I'm not missing Hayden's games. that the person will be the co-ordinator the year after if the club sees fit and also will need to find a helper for the following year. It's a great club but the work start soon for next year, let's do it right and not be afraid to try new things if it helps the footballers experience at KJFC SOCIAL: Thank you to Brodie and Melissa for organizing our social events Quiz night about 200 people Murphy s Lore about the same Nett result of $161.00.
