BC LITTLE BRITCHES RODEO ASSOCIATION Please find enclosed, information to help you with your upcoming rodeo. Please ensure that your judges have a copy of the rule book and are familiar with our rules. For returning and new rodeos, we have a few things that may help you: 1. For the 2019 rodeo season, the BCLBRA will cut the approval fee by 50%, if your form is received in the office before March 1, 2019. (ie: $75.00/day). 2. Senior Boys Calf Tying is now called SENIOR BOYS GOAT TYING. 3. In the steer riding, horned animals may be used but the horns must be covered for the Jr. Boys. 4. Please run poles, stakes, and barrels together... do not break them up by putting an event in between them. 5. Please make every effort to obtain breakaway steers that are uniform in size and preconditioned. 6. Note that our insurance requirements are $5 million, and the BCLBRA must be named as an additional insured. For individual insurance needs, please phone Katie McCullough at Integris Insurance Services in Clinton, BC. Her number is 250.459.2301, we have found Katie easy to deal with and their rates to be competitive, and Katie will know pretty much what you need. 7. In 2019, Chute dogging is an event for senior boys. In the Chute dogging, contestants must wear a protective vest and mouth guard. Please contact Chute Dogging director with any questions. 8. In 2019, the option of entering a rodeo online continues to be available. Please check into the website for all requirements for online entries. If you have any further information about your rodeo that you would like listed, please send it in with the approval form. We look forward to coming to your arena to rodeo. Thank you, Mike Gill BCLBRA President 250-315-9625 April Schneider Secretary/Entry Secretary 250-280-1728

BC Little Britches Rodeo Association Dear Rodeo Committee, Welcome aboard for another season of rodeos. Thank you for sending in your rodeo approval forms. If you have had a chance to check out our website recently, you will have noticed that we are under way with another season and your rodeo date has been added to our list of approved rodeos. At this time, we would like to remind you of and update you as to some of the changes we have had this year. This year, we would like to ask committees hosting a rodeo to please not advertise a call in date on any posters or advertising you may be using to advertise your rodeo, but rather to list our website for more information about entries. Our website is www.bclbra.org. We would also like to remind committees that there are no exhibition rides of any kind. We have also had a change with regards to or insurance this year. The BC Little Britches Rodeo association will no longer be offering the group insurance for committees wishing to host a rodeo. We have felt that this was not as beneficial as hoped. May we recommend that you contact Katie McCullough at Integris Insurance Services in Clinton, if you are looking for a place to obtain insurance. Katie can be reached via email at kmccullough@integriscu.ca or on the phone at 1.250.459.2301. Katie has been great at helping us with insurance and knows just what the committees need and we have found the rates to be good. Please note that when insuring for your rodeo, the BC Little Britches Rodeo association must be named as an additional insured and that the amount of insurance has been increased from two million to five million. Also, BCLBRA must receive proof of your insurance two weeks before your rodeo date. If you would kindly take the time to respond to this email, sending me a mailing address, and contact phone numbers, I will send you out a check list for your upcoming rodeo as well as some new rule books for your judges to start reviewing. If there is anything that you would like listed on our website for your rodeo this year, please include that as well. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you this season.
