Dad took a jump. Mum took a jump. The twins took a jump. Baby took a jump. They could not cross the river. 4 5

We had no TV or computer, just a radio, says Grandma. We have a TV, a computer, and two radios, too, says Amy. 8 9

What if people did not have rules? said Mum. What if people did not clean up? It could be good! said Maggie. We will have a No Rules Day on Saturday, said Mum. Susie can hold off from coming until Sunday. 4 5

We run to see. It is not Gran s walking stick. It is three workers with a hammer. Gran is lost! Wait, what is that smell? It smells like Gran s perfume. 10 11

Night after night, Jade looked for a new star. She dreamed about naming one, but night after night, Jade didn t find a new one to name. All she could see were many tiny white spots in the sky. 4 5

On Wednesday, Joshua goes to the kitchen. It is breakfast time. He looks in the drawer for a spoon. Oh, no! says Mum. The spoons stick to his hand. Joshua puts away all the metal things in the house, but then his mum cannot find anything! 8 9

Then, another person comes in the school gate. Emma rides on crazy rollerskates. They are rainbow rollerskates. They have rainbows on the laces and boots. Look! says Jasmine. Each wheel has a colour from the rainbow. One wheel is gold, like the gold at the end of the rainbow. 10 11
