Central and the 5 1/2-game lead over the Blue Jays for the best record in the American League. EARLY AND OFTEN--The Royals scored in each of the first five innings of last night s game, accruing all 12 of their runs in that span...it marked the first time KC has scored in each of the first five frames since July 4, 2000, when the Royals were 10-7 winners here over the White Sox.
