GIFTS / AWARDS The winning team and medalist will receive a Championship Belt for their outstanding play and each player / coach will receive various tournament gifts. You may pay Grandover directly when you check out. If you need additional rooms please let me know and we will check on the availability. MEALS / HOSPITALITY Fruit, nutrition bars, snacks and beverages will be provided for participants and coaches on the course and practice areas throughout the tournament. All meals will be covered by the tournament in the Griffin Ballroom from Friday breakfast through Sunday lunch. MEDIA / SPORTS INFORMATION UNCG Director of Media Relations, Matt McCollester, will manage the media area. OFFICIALS Ben Payne, with the Carolinas Golf Association, will serve as our Head Rules Official. He and his staff have done a very professional job for us in the past and they will handle all aspects that are required for the championship. PARKING Team parking will be set aside in the golf parking lot. You will find the assigned spots located behind #9 green of the East Course. PRACTICE ROUND The range and practice areas will open at 9:00am. The practice round will be conducted on Friday, October 27 th. REGISTRATION Registration will take place in the Griffin Ballroom on Thursday, October 26th from 2-5pm and Friday, October 27 th from 9:00am -12:30pm. SCORING Scorecards shall be kept in accordance with Rule 6-6 of the USGA s Scoring in Stroke Play. The scorecard will be deemed returned to the golf committee when the player or coach places it in the scoring box. There will a scoring area in the main dining room of the clubhouse. Players are required to turn in their scores with their group prior to interacting with anyone other than the designated coaches. SHUTTLE SERVICE WITH GRANDOVER The teams who fly in PTI / Greensboro will be provided with a free shuttle service to get you to Grandover and back to the airport. We will need your flight information when it is available. All meals will be at Grandover so a van is not required. SPECTATORS / CARTS Spectators must remain on the cart paths or in the rough and approximately 15 yards from the players at all times (including practice areas). There may be no communication between players and spectators that could be deemed advice of any nature for the duration of play. Please have all ringers on electronic devices turned off. Spectator carts will only be available for people with handicap credentials. THURSDAY NIGHT - Dining Guide Grandover has wonderful restaurants, Di Valletta and Café Expresso, which you can dine at. For the teams who have vans there are many restaurants within a 10 minute drive. The front desk will have the directions to all of them. TOURNAMENT FORMAT The TBA Collegiate will be a 54-hole competition, 10 teams. If conditions dictate a change in format, only the Rules Committee can make a decision to shorten the tournament. There will be no playoffs or tiebreakers. We will have Co-Champions if required.
