HOSSMOOR EVENTS DRESSAGE SHOWS Sat, May 6- *** Show Sun, May 7 - Schooling Show I The *** show is approved by USEF, USDF, and CDS. The Schooling Show is the first of a series of three. These are very relaxed, inexpensive, and right here! We hope you ll ride in one or the other show, or both, but if not, please consider volunteering! It s a fun way to enjoy the show AND help out at the same time. Work a morning or afternoon shift, either day, and get free lunch, and a small gift, as a token of our appreciation. Email Hetty to volunteer! Come seeing Carol Alonso s Century Ride on Julio just before the lunch break on May 6th. The age of the two must be 100, or more! PLEASE WELCOME: CYNDI LIVINGSTON is bringing her lovely mare, SONG, back home. She ll join Cyndi s other mare, BE, in the H Barn. Cyndi s wanting to do a lot of trail rides! PLEASE SAY FAREWELL TO: SANDRA MANNION & ATLAS. They re off for the season and will return in the Fall. Have fun! ROB DARAKHSHAN & SWEET RIDE are off to the Polo Field. Back this Fall! CHRIS KALDUNSKI moved his two horses, SMARTY & MYSTRY to a friend s place for semi-retirement. They ve been here 17 years, and will be missed. But, he ll be shooting, the Day of the Cowboy. TERI HARPER and VINO are moving to Missouri. We hate that, as we just got to know them and love them. ENGLISH/WESTERN SCHOOLING SHOW I Sunday, June 11 English in the morning and Western in the Afternoon! This is the first of a series of three shows. In addition to Ribbons to 6th place and first place prizes for each class, there are trophies for the high point in each division (Walk/Trot, Youth, Novice, Open). These points are cumulative so that one person wins the BUCKLE. It could be you! Check out page 3-5 for the Entry Form! LOOKING FOR A TRAIL BOSS! Lots of folks at Hossmoor like to trail ride. Chris Kaldunski used to lead a couple of rides a year. Now that he s retired his horses, there is no leader. Why don t you step up and lead a ride for for us on June 24th? A ride in Briones Park, or on EBMUD Trails, would be swell. Having lunch at the trail head afterwards might be nice? You can pick a different date, different trail ~ whatever you want. Let us know well ahead of time and we ll get the word out! It s not to early to start planning the Point Reyes Horse Camping Trip, either. Why not plan for a Friday night do what you want, Saturday night pot luck dinner, where everyone eats together, and leave on Sunday afternoon. People can arrive early, if they want, and they don t have to camp together. If it s busy, they might not be able to do so. Still, riding out with friends is THE BEST! It s simple, somebody pick a few dates, and we ll see if we can t get it happening! Good to have a couple of folks ride the trails ahead of time, and to lead a few rides. Makes newcomers happy to follow along!
