Wednesday July 24 thru Sunday July 28 th Rockin K Ranch Pagosa Springs is located at 7200 feet in the San Juan range of the Rocky Mountains. We are about 60 miles East of Durango on US Highway 160 and about 45 miles North of Chama New Mexico on US Highway 84. Because we are above 7000 feet it is extremely important for you stay hydrated and rested while you are here. It may take a day or so for you to acclimate to our altitude if you are not used to it. Pagosa Springs is home to the deepest natural mineral hot springs in the world. The San Juan River runs through town. Our events will be at the Rockin K Ranch. The Ranch is located at 7489 County RD 600, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 Shooter s popups, tables and chairs will be allowed at the ranch. There will be tables and chairs in the barn for those who cannot bring their own. We will provide water for shooters and their guests in the shooter s area at no charge. A monetary donation will be welcome. We will not take a lunch break during the matches. Food and beverages will be welcome in the shooter s area. There will be no food vendors. Please bring your own. Absolutely NO live ammo allowed on ranch property. No firearms unrelated to the contests will be allowed on ranch property. No alcohol or illegal or illicit drugs including marijuana will be allowed on ranch property. Anyone who appears under the influence or otherwise impaired will not be allowed on ranch property or be allowed to compete. The end of July and beginning of August is our monsoon season. Expect a shower or two on any given day, usually in the afternoons. They usually don t last long and are normally not heavy. Please bring your rain gear just in case. 2019 Colorado State and Four Corners Championships General Information All matches will be shot on 24 targets at 21ft We will be using two 6 target ranges All CFDA rules will apply to all matches. You must be a CFDA member in good standing to compete in these matches as well as the side matches. Please be prepared to show either your CFDA membership card or your lifetime badge at registration. We will supply all of the ammo for all of the matches. We will be shooting NobleSport 688 209 shotgun primers and C & R wax in all of the matches including the titled Championships. We will provide all of the ammo for all of the matches. However, at times the ranges may be open for practice. You will need your own
ammo for practice. If you did not bring ammo, we will have ammo available for sale at the same price that our club members pay for wax and primers. All Billy the Kid and Annie Oakley Youth competitors (referred to as BK and AO) except level 4 shooting with the adults will shoot for free. Level 2 two handed and Level 3 and one handed shooters will shoot together. BK and AO may shoot together depending on the turnout. There will be awards for both the top BK and AO shooters. Junior shooters and Level 4 Youth shooters shooting with the adults and will pay a portion of the adult entry fee because they will be eligible for the same awards as adults. There will also be separate awards for the top Junior Men s and Junior Ladies shooters. SCHEDULE Wednesday July 24 th: Jackpot Match for early arrivals. Entry fee will be $20.00 2X 3 winning hits. Colorado 8 format. 24 targets at 21ft Shotgun primer ammo will be used. We will provide the ammo. The match will begin at 10am in the morning and will be open to all. All registered shooters in the match will shoot together regardless of their Division or Category. Prizes and or awards will be given to the top three finishers. Shooters not shooting in the Jackpot match may be able to practice with their own ammo during the Jackpot match if a range is available. If you do not have your own ammo then ammo will be available to purchase at the same price that our club members pay. Colorado State Championship Match - Thursday July 25th & Friday July 26 th The Colorado State Championship match will be a 4X - 3 out of 5 (3 winning hits wins your bout) match. There will be a Fabulous Five Men s and Ladies 2X shoot off for the titles on Friday. We will try to complete seven rounds of the main match on Thursday unless other circumstances interfere with the match. There will be a Bracket match on Friday morning before the conclusion of the State Championship. Your entry fee is included in your registration fee. All ammo is supplied. It will be a 2X - 3 out of 5 (3 winning hits wins your bout) match using the Colorado 8 format. Bracket match awards will be given out during the State championship awards ceremony. The dinner is included with your registration. Our club will provide and prepare the meal. BYOB. Four Corners Territorial Championship Match - Match Saturday July 27 th & Sunday 28 th The Four Corners Territorial match will be a 4X - 3 out of 5 (3 winning hits wins your bout) match. There will be a Magnificent Seven Men s and Ladies 2X shoot off for the titles on Sunday. We will try complete seven rounds of the main match on the Saturday unless other circumstances interfere with the match.
There will be a Second Chance match beginning on Sunday morning for those that are no longer in the main match. It will be a 2x 3 out of 5 (3 winning hits wins your bout) contest using the Colorado 8 format. All ammo will be supplied. Entry fee is $20.00 for the Second Chance match. We will run one round on Sunday morning. If you go out in the first round Sunday morning you can still register for the Second Chance match. Everyone shoots together. The Second Chance will be held while the main match continues. Second Chance match awards will be given out during the Territorial championship awards ceremony. Saturday Evening There will be a banquet dinner on Saturday evening at our host hotel. The dinner is $20.00 per person. You do not have to be a shooter to attend the banquet. Dinner tickets will be provided when you check in and register for the matches and pay for your banquet. It will be plate service which means you can ask for your meal when you are seated and ready. Your entre choices will be Prime Rib, Chicken or Fish. There will also be a salad bar. Four Corners Territorial Championship Prize Structure Over $7500.00 in Cash, Awards and Merchandise!
