ROUNDS 8 & 9 2018 BRITISH TIMECARD ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP 25 th & 26 th August 2018 ACU Permit No: ACU52913 Supplementary Regulations and Entry Form ANNOUNCEMENT The Rhayader MC & LCC Ltd will organise a National Enduro event to be held under the National Sporting Code of the ACU, the Enduro Standing Regulations, the ACU British Enduro Championship Regulations, the following Supplementary Regulations and any Final Instructions that may be issued in accordance with ESR 4. Competitors please note will use Public Highway. Any rider or passenger from another FMN MUST produce a licence issued by their FMN together with start permission and proof of personal accident Insurance. Where the Enduro includes the use of public highways, then this will be stated in the Supplementary Regulations. If public highways are used then it is sole responsibility of the rider to ensure that his machine is roadworthy and that he and his machine comply with all legal requirements. Child Protection. The point of contact for Child Protection issues will be the Secretary of the Meeting unless otherwise stated in the Supplementary Regulations. ENTRIES Online entries will be available via the ACU website, member s portal. https://members.acu.org.uk/secure/login.aspx Postal entries should be accompanied by a fee of 150.00 for two days ( 80 Sidecars). Entries close Friday 17 th August UNLESS FULL prior to this date. All Riders are advised to apply for an Enduro license from the ACU. One event licences will be available (price 15.00) if a rider does not hold a valid competition licence. All cheques to be made payable to RHAYADER MC & LCC Ltd. Entries will receive a confirmation email so please ensure that your email address is clear. Results will also be displayed on the internet (www.rdmcc.co.uk), no results will be posted unless requested (please send two SAE if you do not have access to the internet). Entry limit 180. If an entrant is a no-show, there will be no refund. Any rider requesting a refund will need to provide a valid doctors note (prior the closing date of Friday 17 th August)
CLASSES There will be 7 classes: (1) Championship; (2) Expert; (3) Clubman; (4) Women s; (5) Over 40 (over 40 years on the 1st January of the current year), (6) Over 50 (over 50 years on the 1st January of the current year). (7) Championship Sidecar (8) Expert Sidecar (9) Clubman Sidecar. NB. Sidecars are Saturday ONLY. (10) Sportsman. NB Sportsman entries only permitted if spaces are available. NB in addition a Junior Class for riders under 23 years on the 1st January of the current year will be incorporated into the Championship and Expert classes. ALL CLASSES (Except Sportsman & Sidecar) Capacity Groups: There will be 4 capacity groups E1 Two Stroke - up to 125cc two stroke E1 Four stroke up to 250cc four stroke E2 Over 125cc 250cc two stroke and over 250cc 450cc four stroke E3 Over 250cc two stroke and over 450cc four stroke SIGNING-ON/MACHINE EXAMINATION/START The start/finish/camping area will be at Cwmythig Hill, nr Rhayader, Powys. Cwmythig Hill is situated just off the B4518 (approx 2 miles North of Rhayader). It will be signposted from Rhayader. First riders will start at 9.00 am on both days, starting with 1-10 of championship riders from 2017, followed with E1/2, E1/4, E2, and E3 of each class. Signing on/machine Examination take place between 15.30pm 18.00pm on Friday 24 th August. At Machine Examination, the Championship and Experts classes will have parts marked as per the current ACU British Time Card Enduro Championship Regulations (ACU Website, Sporting News). MACHINES Must be in accordance with the current ACU Handbook ESRs for Timecard Enduros and per the current ACU British Time Card Enduro Championship Regulations (ACU Website, Sporting News), with Enduro type tyres according to current FIM specification. PROLOGUE There will be a Prologue on the Friday Evening starting at 18.30pm. This will be for Championship & Expert Class riders only. The Prologue consists of an eight-shaped race, two riders side-by-side. The Start and finish must be exactly at the same place. Each rider will complete two rounds at the track: a bridge and a tunnel will allow the riders to do exactly the same distance. This total time each rider takes to complete the prologue will count as their 1 st special test of the weekend. All bikes must be presented back into the Parc Ferme by 22.00pm. PROLOGUE RULES All Championship riders to meet at Parc Ferme at 6.15pm. Timecards will be issued. All Championship riders to ride their bikes to the holding area as a group. Riders to start every 2 minutes from holding area to the start line. Each rider will have 45 minutes to complete the Prologue. Riders will be allowed back into the holding area early after they finish the Prologue. However riders are ONLY allowed to work on their bikes with the tools they carry on them in their bumbags. Each rider will be given 15 minutes in the working area to carry out any other work/repairs etc. Riders are allowed mechanic(s) in the work area to assist them. The riders time on the prologue will count as their 1st special test time of the weekend. Start order will be in the reverse order of the current BEC Overall Championship standings Riders mot included in current BEC Overall Championship standings will start first in the order determined by organiser No tyre changes will be permitted after the prologue.
Riders failing to appear for the Prologue Friday Evening = DNF for Saturday Riders failing to finish prologue (due to injury or mechanical breakdown) = slowest riders time + 60 All other Penalties such as late/ early at Time Checks or infringements of BEC & ACU Enduro Regulations normal penalties apply Rider arriving late at start line of Prologue - Penalty of 20 secs THERE WILL BE A PARC FERME ROUTE The route will consist of a number of laps of approximately 35-50 miles of mainly forestry tracks, forestry roads & open fields, the route WILL run along public highway. Two special tests will be used on both days: - one at Cwmythig which will be a motocross type test & another at Saintswell which will be a x-country type test. The special tests will be open for riders to walk from 10am on Friday morning. The start area and 1 fuel area will be at Cwmythig, while the other fuel area will be at Saintswell. Saintwell is near Bwlch-y-Sarnau which is approx. 8 miles from Cwmythig by road. (Saintswell will be signposted from Cwmythig with Refuel/Test 2 signs). NB. It is the riders responsibility to ensure that both his machine and he/she are fully legal for the purpose. The route will be reversed for day 2 (except the special tests), Day 1 = Orange arrows, Day 2 = Green arrows. TIMING Special tests will be timed using transponders, riders will not be charged for the use of the transponders, but are required to leave a bond for the transponder. Riders are required to leave an ACU licence or similar, one event licences are not accepted as bonds. The onus on ensuring the device is correctly fitted and maintained throughout the competition rests with the rider, the rider is also responsible for the return of the transponder after the event. CAMPING Riders are welcome to camp at Cwmythig Hill, near Rhayader. Toilets will be provided, although no fresh water is available.
