NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife Warm, Cool and Coldwater Fish Raised at and Stocked from the Hackettstown Hatchery in 2018 A total of 3,818,786 fish weighing a total of 26,946 pounds were raised at the Charles O. Hayford Hatchery by the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife in 2018. Fish are raised and stocked for the angling enjoyment of the public and paid for through license fees and Sportfish Restoration funds. Species included: Muskellunge, Tiger Muskie, Northern Pike, Walleye, Striped Bass Hybrid, Atlantic Landlocked Salmon, Channel Catfish, Black Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Brown Bullhead, Golden Shiner, Bluegill Sunfish, Gambusia (Mosquito Fish) and Fathead Minnows. The tables below provide stocking information for each species. Sizes ( /) are in inches.
