Mt. Van Hoevenberg Cross Country Developed for the 1980 Olympic Games, Mt. Van Hoevenberg Cross Country Ski and Biathlon Center offers world class trails, grooming and event organization. Technical Information Altitude 620 meters above sea level Total length of trails 50 kilometers Wax and Wax Testing Dedicated wax testing areas are located adjacent to the competition trail and are groomed at the same time and manner to the race trails. Temporary wax facilities will be provided to all teams adjacent to the Cross Country stadium. Olympic Jumping Complex - Backup Developed for the 1998 Gold Cup and utilized for the 2000 Winter Goodwill Games and 2001 World Cup B Nordic Combined sprint competitions, the 2.5K cross country trail offers competitors a unique and challenging Nordic experience. This is also the primary summer and fall training site for the USBA National Team as it is a paved roller ski loop and includes additional terrain. The Base Lodge at the Olympic Jumping Complex offers athletes a separate area of refuge. Also housed in the base lodge are bathrooms and first aid facilities. Temporary wax facilities will be available and will include outside ventilation. In the last year this facility has hosted a number of high level events: Supertour Eastern Cup USCSA Nationals Eastern Division 1 Carnival NYS High School Championships Wax Testing A space will be dedicated to wax testing that is adjacent and groomed the same as completion trails Timing and Scoring Timing at the Olympic Jumping Complex is a temporary facility located adjacent to the start/finish line.
