BSPS BRIGHT STARS Performance Supreme. THE FINALS The finals will be held at the B.S.P.S. Summer Championship Show, Arena U.K., Grantham, Lincs on 24 th - 27 th August, 2016 All competitors in the final will receive a Finalist ROSETTE. Placed Rosettes will be awarded to 10 th place in all classes. The 1 st and 2 nd prize winners of each class will compete for the:- B.S.P.S. BRIGHT STARS PERFORMANCE SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP RULES AND ELIGIBILITY 1) PONIES/HORSES THAT HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THE R.I.H.S. OR H.O.Y.S. IN ANY SECTION CANNOT COMPETE IN THE QUALIFYING ROUNDS OR THE FINAL. 2) The Bright Stars classes are open to B.S.P.S. members and NON members riding registered or unregistered animals. 3) Animals do not require a J.M.B. Height Certificate. Animals and riders do not need to be registered to qualify or compete at the Final. 4) Correctly secured Skull Caps/Riding Hats Nos. PAS015, (BS) EN1384 -BSEN1384,VGI, ASTMF1163 (2004) with SEI mark, SNELL E200Australian & New Zealand All AS/NZS 3838 1998 MUST be worn by riders at a 5) Any suitable bridles may be worn and handles on saddles in the Lead Rein Class are permitted. 6) The 1 st 2 nd and 3 rd placed ponies in each class will qualify for the final to be held at the 2016 B.S.P.S. Summer Championship. EQUIFEST QUALIFIERS This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 17th 21st August 2016. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. THE HEWITT FAMILY / EQUIFEST OPEN RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C and D. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider any age. SHOW CUPS Please return all cups to the secretary in a good clean condition by the 1 st June 2016.

CHAPS Classes This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation No. 16196... Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 31st August-3rd September 2016. Shows held on or after the Postal Entry closing date of Championship Show will count as 2017 qualifiers. The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers 18, 19 and 47. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK) Members' Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings. All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without exception. CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW QUALIFIERS (see CHAPS Handbook) CHAPS (UK) Qualifying classes enable eligible exhibits to enter the relevant classes at the CHAPS (UK) Championship Show in the year relevant to the qualification. Separate Finals will be held at the Championship Show for Yearlings, Two Year Olds, Three Year Olds and for Natives and Non-Natives (Ridden and In Hand), together with Ridden Finals for Lead Read, First Ridden, Junior, Novice and Side Saddle sections.

RING 1 Please Note: A practice jump for the Working Hunters will be provided adjacent to Ring ONE. Please keep the red flag to your right whilst jumping. This class is for young or very nervous riders to enable them to gain confidence. Class 2 OPEN M & M WORKING HUNTER PONY Judge: Mr A Brown Tom Sampson. Farrier Ponies 4 years old or over. Riders any age. Ponies up to 13h may jump first over 2ft jumps. Jumps 2ft 3in will not exceed 2ft 6in. If sufficient entries class will be split. Class 3 NOVICE WORKING HUNTER PONY Judge: Mr A Brown In Memory of Michael Scott-Hopkins 4 years old or over. Riders any age. Ponies not exceeding 153 cms. (15h) For Ponies not to have been placed 1 st or 2 nd in 2016 Jumps 2ft 3in will not exceed 2ft 6in. Class 4 OPEN WORKING HUNTER Judge: Mr A Brown Julia Taylor. (Robin Hood Memorial) Open to all Horse & Ponies 4 years & over. Riders any age. Jumps 2ft 9in CHAMPIONSHIP For 1st Prizewinners of All Working Hunter Classes Ice Bucket, Sash & Rosette to the Champion. Rosette to Reserve Geoff Blackburn. Hay & Feed Merchant Class: 5 NOVICE HUNTER Judge: Miss A Collins Rachel Douglas. Open to horses, 4 years old & over not having won a 1st prize of 15 this season.

Class 6 Judge: OPEN HUNTER Miss A Collins Crow Farm Shop. (Ringwood) 4 years old and over, Mare or Gelding exceeding 153cms. Mixed Weight Class, Riders any age. MR E & MRS SA KYDD / EQUIFEST RIDDEN HUNTERS CHAMPIONSHIP 1st & 2nd Prizewinners from Classes for The Anvil Trophy. Sash & Rosette to Winner. Rosette to Reserve. Hurnbridge Equestrian Centre. Class 7 RIDDEN COMPETITION HORSE/PONY Judge: Miss A Collins Classical Riders, (Diane Followell) Competition Horse, any colour, any type. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years and over. Rider any age. Ice Bucket Trophy to the winner. The following class is affiliated to the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) and only horses registered with or overstamped by the IDHS (GB) and in the correct ownership are eligible for entry. Registration numbers to be stated on the entry form and entries will be sent to the IDHS (GB) prior to the Show to confirm eligibility. Class 8 RIDDEN PURE & PART BRED IRISH DRAUGHT HORSE Judge: Mrs C Collinsplat (conf) Miss A Collins (Ride) Mrs Monic Clapcott Ridden Irish Draught - 4 years old and over, *stallion (see above), mare or gelding Ridden Irish Draught Sport Horse - 4 years old and over, *stallion (see above), mare or gelding registered on the ID Sport Horse Register, or SID This show is a Qualifier for the Blue Chip & Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) 2,000 Challenge. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from the above Class 8 will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) 2,000 Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 3 rd - 4 th September 2016 at the Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-Lings, Lincoln LN2 2NA. N.B: A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a card and a 10 voucher from Blue Chip. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the Final. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded 1,000 prize money, a trophy and a Blue Chip rug. The Reserve Champion will be awarded 500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded 100 each. In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and 100, the highest placed 158cm (15.2hh) and under will receive a trophy and 50 and the highest placed *Amateur Produced and Ridden Horse will receive a silver salver and a rug. Silver Salver to the winner.

Class 9 RIDING CLUB HORSE/PONY Judge: Miss A Collins East Dorset Riding Club For Horses and ponies. 4 years and over. Rider any age. Must be a Bonafied member of a Riding Club. Name of club and membership number to be stated on entry form. Class 10 RIDING HORSE/PART BRED Judge: Miss A Collins La Strada Restaurant. Bournemouth. 4 years old or over. Mare or Gelding. Riders any age. TANKARD to the winner. NUPAFEED/EQUIFEST RIDING HORSE Qualifier. THE HARPER FAMILY/EQUIFEST PART BRED Qualifier. Mare or Gelding. Exhibits in this section must be registered in the Part Bred section of their respective Breed Society. Registration numbers must be stated on the entry form. Horses and ponies will not be ridden at the final. RING 2 Class 11 RIDDEN VETERANS Judge: Mrs J Cooper PEBL Graphics For horses & ponies aged 17 & over. Animals age to be displayed on left arm. Special rosette for the oldest veteran. All animals must be in good condition. Any colour but also a CHAPS Qualifier Class 12 RIDDEN COB/COB TYPE Judge: Mrs J Cooper Chloes Upholstery (Hurnbridge) 4 years old or over. Riders any age. If sufficient entries this class will be split into Native & Non Native. Cob Tankard to the winner. Class 13 OPEN LEAD REIN Judge: Mrs J Cooper The Cane Showroom. BRIGHT STARS LEAD REIN. Also open to all ponies including M&M s. Ponies 4 years old or over not exceeding 128cms to be shown on the Lead Rein. Riders not to have attained their 8 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. All competitors will receive a prize.

Class 14 NOVICE FIRST RIDDEN PONY Judge: Mrs J Cooper Heathlands Livery Yard Mare or Gelding, 4 years old or over. Not to exceed 128cm, Riders 10 years and under. To be shown in any suitable bridle. Walk and Trot only. Open to all types and breeds. All competitors will receive a prize. Class 15 Judge: FIRST RIDDEN Mrs J Cooper Stephanie Zebedee Horse Trainer BRIGHT STARS FIRST PONY Ponies 4 years old or over not exceeding 128cms Suitable for a child s First Pony off the Lead Rein. Riders not to have attained their 10 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. Open to all Types and Breeds. If sufficient entries the class will be split. All competitors will receive a prize. The Highest Placed CHAPS (UK) Member/Registered Horse/Pony may qualify from the above 3 classes, qualifying cards to presented to judge in the ring for signing. CHAMPIONSHIP For 1st Prizewinners from Classes 13, 14 & 15 Tots Trophy, Sash and Rosette to Champion. Rosette to Reserve. BRIGHT STARS HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND RIDDEN MIXED BREEDS Mixed M & M ponies, any breed. Riders any age, except riders must be 12 years old and over on 1 st January in the current year to ride any small breed stallions, and riders must be 14 years old or over on 1 st January in the current year to ride any large breed stallions. (All ponies must be shown off the lead rein). Class 16 SMALL RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND Judge: Mr M Goddard The Cane Showroom. Ponies 4 years old or over, Riders any age. Open to M&M ponies registered with their respective Pure Breed Societies Equifest Qualifer Class 17 LARGE RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND Judge: Mr M Goddard Miss Hannah Ford Ponies 4 years old or over. Riders any age. Open to M&M ponies registered with their respective Pure Breed Societies Equifest Qualifer

Class 19 Judge: RIDDEN COLOURED Mrs H Nelmes Woolsbridge Farm Feeds. CHAPS (UK) OPEN Ridden Qualifier Class, any height or type. Stallion, Mare or Gelding. 4 years & over. Rider any age. All stallions entering this class must be graded with CHAPS(UK). ID cards must be carried in the ring for inspection. You need not be a member of CHAPS to enter this class. BSPA / EQUIFEST RIDDEN PIEBALD / SKEWBALD Riders any age. The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championship. Subject to their show rules & conditions. CHAMPIONSHIP For 1 st & 2 nd prizewinners from classes 18, 19 & 47. Coloured Horse Cup, Sah & Rosette to the winner, Rosette to Reserve. GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY FOR THE SHOW 1. The Secretary reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entries, the right to cancel any class or classes, refunding any fees paid in respect thereof. Refunds will not be given unless accompanied by a valid vet s certificate. 2. No appeal can be made against the decision of the Judges, whose decision shall is final. The Judges have the right to disqualify any competitor for abuse of whip or spurs, cruelty or discourteousness. 3. Only Officials, competitors and their grooms are allowed in the Judging Rings. 4. Any objections to be lodged with the Secretary within half an hour of the event finishing, together with the sum of 10 - returnable at the discretion of the Secretary. 5. No responsibility is accepted by the Show, or its organisers, for any accident or loss on the showground to spectators, competitors, their horses or property. 6. All Championship Cups and Trophies to be signed for on collection. All Cups must be returned to the Secretary by!st June 2017. 7. All dogs must be kept on leads. 8. Owners will be responsible for any cost of treatment by the Veterinary Surgeons. 9. No pony or horse, under the age of four, should be entered in the Ridden Classes. 10. Substitutions will only be accepted if accompanied by a Veterinary Certificate. No changing of Classes after the closing date of entries. 11. In the event of classes running late/early we reserve the right to transfer classes to unoccupied rings, hold back classes and use available judges. 12. In the unlikely event of the cancellation, of the show by the organisers through circumstances beyond their control, refunds of fees will not be made. 13.
