2019 Show Rules APHA Breed Show PNPHC All Breed Show 1. DOGS Dogs must be kept ON LEASH at all times. 2. NSF checks will be assessed a $35 fee 3. Exhibitor Responsibility Exhibitors are responsible for being knowledgeable of and follow the current rules for this show, completing entry form legibly and accurately, reporting to the gate promptly, and being considerate of other exhibitors and show management. Additionally, exhibitors/ owners/ trainers are responsible to be knowledgeable of APHA Rule SC- 085 regarding drugs & medications that are forbidden or conditionally permitted. Conditionally permitted substances require a completed medication report be filed with the show office. 4. Exhibitors can download the APHA rule book at: http:/apha.com/forms/rule-books Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Reining, and Ranch Trail will be run by SHTX Rules, found at: https://stockhorsetexas.org/pdfs/shtx-handbook-web.pdf All Breed classes will follow WSH rules: washingtonstatehorsemen.org 5. The show secretary must inspect the registration papers (or copies) on each horse entered in APHA classes. Entries shall be made in the name of the recorded owner. Geldings are not allowed to show with stallion papers in halter classes. 6. APHA Only: To enter Amateur/Youth classes, you MUST present a 2019 APHA Novice/Amateur card OR Novice/Youth card or complete and return an application to the show secretary prior to entry in a class. 7. APHA Only: All exhibitors AND recorded owners must present a 2019 APHA or AJPHA membership card or complete and return an application to the show secretary. Exception: Lead Line exhibitors. 9. All Breed Only: To enter 18 & Over Showmanship or Equitation, the exhibitor must present an amateur card from WSH or any breed organization or sign an affidavit of amateur eligibility. 10. The condition of submitting entries or the first entry into the show ring of a horse or exhibitor shall be deemed as acceptance of APHA, SHTX, PNPHC, & WSH rules. 11. Entrants in an APHA Performance Halter Class may not enter another halter class in that division and must enter at least 1 riding class (or in hand trail for yearlings). 12. Classes designated APR are open to all status of registered paints including Regular and SPB horses. 13. APHA Amateurs 45 and over may show in 19 & over, OR 45 & Over, OR may show a different horse in each. 14. APHA Youth 13 and under may show in 13 & under, OR 18 & under, OR may show a different horse in each. 15. The final right to settle all questions or disputes arising incidentally to the Horse Show is reserved by the Show Management. All exhibitors, trainers, riders, or other participants agree to be bound thereby to such decisions. 16. Individual class entry will close (3) classes prior to entry of that class. Entry at the gate accepted at the discretion of show management. 17. Anyone withdrawing (scratching) from a class without written notification may forfeit their entry fee in accordance with APHA Rules at managements discretion. (exception APHA non-point classes). 18. All Breed Show No cross entry between walk trot and classes that lope. Walk trot and Lead Line entries may also enter their regular age group showmanship and halter. Juniors may not exhibit stallions except as provided in the division rules. 19. Show management may combine or split classes according to APHA Rules. APHA Non-point classes may be canceled at management s discretion. 20. Ties for High Point will be broken by (1) most firsts, (2) most placings above the other participant, (3) flip of coin. Ties for class average will be broken by a tiebreaker judge. 21. Awards MUST be picked up by end of show or be forfeited. 22. Any RV, trailer or vehicle parked blocking an electrical hookup space WILL BE CHARGED the electrical hookup fee even if it is not used. 23. It is understood all participants welcomed at the NW WA Fairgrounds will be respectful of all common areas and use as posted. It is understood all exhibitors will be mindful of posted fire lanes and emergency vehicle areas. NW Washington Fairgrounds is a LEAVE NO TRACE Facility. Please clean up after yourselves. Please do not put shavings bags in the garbage. Use the recycling bins!
