Winter Recreation Activities January, February, March 2019 Sweetheart Dance Date: Friday, February 15th Location: CBC HUB Time: 6:00-8:30 PM Cost: $10 member, $12 non-member Dress: Semi-formal Pizza and drinks served Rides available! RSVP (509)783-1131 Transportation Available for Night Rec Events! Thanks to our partnership with Ben Franklin Transit, The Arc of Tri-Cities is once again able to provide transportation for our Night Rec events! You must sign up in advance if you want a ride. With the extension of BFT s service hours beginning in March 11th, Dial-A-Ride will also be able to provide rides for events such as the movie nights or dances. IMPORTANT SUMMER CAMP NEWS!! Our Partners N Pals summer camp will begin taking applications January 21st and will be taken no later than March 26th. New Intense Supervision Staffing Level Due to the increase in minimum wage, we will no longer offer one-on-one support. However, we will still offer personal care, behavior support, and locker room assistance for approved campers at a staffing ratio ranging from 1:2 and up to 1:4. New Requirements by Ben Franklin Transit We are now required to ensure ALL riders complete the Dial A Ride eligibility process in order to provide door-to-door service and utilize the vans during camp hours. Mandatory workshops will be held January 23rd, February 27th, or March 11th. Both Dial A Ride and camp application forms available in English and Spanish at our office or www.arcoftricities.com

Now s your chance! The MCTA (Mid-Columbia Tennis Association) is generously funding four 1-hour tennis lessons hosted at Columbia Basin Racquet Club this winter at no cost to you! The classes are for beginners, and approved participants need to register through the front desk at CBRC. If the participant is not currently a member, no problem! All they need to do is have a guest account built by the front desk, and then register for the class. Participation for this opportunity is on a first come, first serve basis, so hurry and apply! The R-word hurts because it is exclusive. It's offensive. It's derogatory. Our campaign asks people to pledge to stop saying the R- word as a starting point toward creating more accepting attitudes and communities for all people. Language affects attitudes and attitudes affect actions. Pledge today to use respectful, people-first language. The Arc Buddy Clubs in the Tri-City area will be have R word campaigns on their school campuses!
