This is a major move for the school and their business and we will work extremely hard to get things right. It will take a while to get things up and running and even though some items aren t in stock yet (due to being custom made), we encourage you to order them. Please feel free to pass on any feedback at any time. Footy Colours Day Thanks to Will, Dusty and Max for organising a very successful Footy Colours Day. Lochie O Brien was in attendance all day and the students loved seeing him and getting his autograph. Thanks also to the Irymple Football Club players who helped out with activities on the day. The Staff & Grade 6 Girls vs Grade 6 Boys game was of course the highlight of the day! The Staff and Grade 6 Girls were victorious this year. Thanks to Rob Kennedy for umpiring, the Grade 4 students for performing the boundary and goal umpiring duties and for delivering water to all players. The Grade 5 students did a great job or time keeping and scoring. Office: 50245345 Postal Address: P.O. FOOTY COLOURS DAY Last Friday was Footy Colours Day, I hope everyone had a wonderful time. Altogether we raised $1038.20 to fight MND so thanks for your support. Everyone had a great time with the Irymple players and Lochie O Brien during our clinic. The teachers proved victorious in the Teachers Vs Grade six boys game beating them 26 to 45. It was great to have the support of Lochie during this great event. Will, Max and Dusty AFL 9s On Tuesday, the Grade 3 and 4 students had a fantastic day at the AFL 9s competition. All five of our teams played with great sportsmanship and skill. Congratulations to our girls team who won the day. Thanks to Paul Geister, Nick Mee, Jo Wood, Jim Blundy and Jason Bell who coached a team on the day. Thanks also to the parents who came to support the students.

This week we planned and published our first stories (narratives). We hope you enjoy them!

INTERSCHOOL SPORT BOYS A BASKETBALL On Tuesday the A boys basketball team went to Nichols Point to play basketball. We played 4 games in total for the day. Our first two pool games we won against Irymple B and Irymple C very convincingly. Next in the semi finals we played Irymple A and we had a good win over them probably playing our best team basketball for the day. Finally it was the grand final playing against Nichols Point A team. In the first half the scores were 8 to 9 our way. In the end we were able to just get the win by 5 points. The scores were 14 19 our way. The best players for the day were Dusty, Jesse, Me and Sosaia. The two best highlights for the day were Jesse blocking in the final seconds of the grand final and Sosaia getting blocks all day! Thanks to Mr Allen for coaching us and again proving what a tactical genius he is. Declan Belsham BOYS B BASKETBALL On Tuesday a year five basketball team went to Nichols Point to play basketball. We played 3 games and unluckily lost all of them. Our first two games we lost convincingly and the last game was close one. The last game was against Irymple C and we lost, 2 to 8 their way. The best players for the day were Luca and Hunter. The goal scorers for the day were Tyler with 5, Hunter with 2 and Cooper Topp with 1. Mr Allen s coaching didn t work throughout the day again but Miss Hepworth s did because we almost won our last game! Tyler McGregor GIRLS BASKETBALL GIRLS SOTBALL On Tuesday the 18 th a group of Grade 6 girls went to play basketball at Nichols Point. We played 4 games and we played 3 different Irymple teams and won all of these games. The last game we had to win against Nichols Point to get through to the next stage. We luckily won in the end so we are moving on to the next round. Our best players for the day were Ava and Rhiannon. I would like to thank Miss Hepworth for being a great coach and helping out with Mr Allen s team as well, because his tactics were not the best. Maya McGregor On Tuesday some grade 5/6 girls went to Nichols Point to play softball. We played our first game against Irymple B team and we won, our next game we played Nichols Point and we unfortunately lost, then our last game we played Irymple A team and kept up the confidence and came through with a win. So we won two out of three, which isn t bad but sadly we did not progress to the next round. The best players for the day would be Molly, Grace and Maia. Bridget Hamilton
