Robert Delgado Director of Golf f r o m t h e D i r e c t o r o f G o l f The month of April was the CVCC Match Play. Thank you to all those who participated in this prestigious event. There were 8 divisions battling for the top spot. One of the great parts of the event was the junior players who participated and definitely made their presence known. We would like to congratulate the three great juniors who participated in the Championship and made it to Match Play. Josh Wiegandt, Jarod Tungol and Sam Sommerhauser all showed off their games and also their sportsmanship. These players are going to go a long way in this game, thank you for your participation and for being gentleman, it was great to see. The golf course if coming around and will be in spectacular shape this month. Thank you to Ram and his team for his efforts. The club is currently on the up-swing in memberships and with more members means more play which is a great thing. I want to remind you that is you would like to play golf, we take tee times for members 7 days in advance. Also, if you make more than on tee time it is your job to make sure all spots are filled and to cancel unused tee times. There are members who want those times and it is not fair to them. Management is going to take another look at the tee time policy for 2017. Thank you and we will see you at the club. ~ Robert Delgado 1st Annual Road Trip August 29th & 30th, 2016 The Road Trip is open to singles, couples, men, women and groups and also guests of members. AC Corner May 2016 Every year as a reminder to all, we publish our Code of Conduct. If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to a member of the Advisory Committee: This Code of Conduct has been developed to ensure a safe, friendly and respectful place for members, visitors, and staff. Is reflective of being an Ambassador for CVCC when out in the community, at other clubs and/or at CVCC. Shows the utmost respect and dignity to fellow members, staff and visitors. Does not damage the character, integrity, good will, property and community view (local and/or the broader community) of CVCC and/or staff Is reflective of an adherence to ALL club rules including the following: o Sign in procedures in the Pro Shop o Safe operation of carts in designated areas ONLY o Obeying guidelines concerning the areas on which carts are not allowed off the cart paths (i.e. par 3s and #12 for safety reasons) o Limiting the playing of music on the golf course to the foursome that you are playing with and only with the consent of all players. o Using cell phones with respect to other golfers and members in the area. o Taking pride in the physical appearance of CVCC as it is reflective of you the member. o Dressing in a manner befitting a Club of our standing and following the CVCC dress code. Please limit driving on the nuts under Oak trees whenever possible. Don t part directly under Oak trees as it stresses their root systems. An example is behind the #6 green. Ramiro Sena Course Superintendent Superintendent s Update We are in full swing with Spring golf! The weather is incredible and we can see it all around us by the looks of the vegetation. The staff is getting all the walnut shells out on the course before the invitational. They have been working extra hours trying to manicure all the playing grounds. Note: we are still under water restrictions, in fact, we don t get water supply on Mondays and Thursdays. Please, keep the carts in the fairways, this helps us with the drought contingency plan. I hope everyone comes and enjoys the course. The Turf Care staff is looking forward to providing you with great Summer course conditions.
