CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Entries will only be accepted through Global Entries Online with credit card payment. 2. All entries must be lodged with Global Entries Online no later than 31 st May 2013 at 5pm. 3. All entry fees must be paid in full when entering, including $10.00 First Aid Levy. 4. Accepted Payment Types: Credit Card 5. Horses are only permitted to enter two classes per day.. 6. Once entries have been made on Global Entries Online the Entry Fees will not be refunded unless the scratching is notified to the event secretary up to 5pm the day prior to the event and must be accompanied by a Veterinary or Medical Certificate. Refunds at the discretion of the organising committee. 7. All Late Entries or Changes to nominations to another class will incur an additional $5.00 surcharge payable when the change is made. Alterations to class nominations must be made with the event secretary prior to the commencement of that class. 8. The event will be run under EFA/FEI rules. The Organising Committee reserves the right at their absolute discretion to alter or amend any of the conditions, regulations or any aspect of the event as they see fit. 9. EA Age & Amateur Rules apply in Ring1 ie: (a) Junior; in the calendar year in which they turn 12 until the calendar year in which they turn 18 (b) Young Rider; in the calendar year in which they turn 16 to the calendar year in which they turn 21 (c) Amateur Rider classes are classes for riders who: (viii) must be in the year of their 21st birthday or over (ix) must never have competed in an Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games in either Jumping or Eventing (x) must never have competed in a World Cup for Jumping Riders qualifying round (xi) must not have competed in section 1 and 2 at a Royal Show in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth in the past two years (xii) must never have competed in a 4* 3 Day Event(effective 1 Jan 2010) (xiii) Amateur Riders may not compete in an Amateur class if they compete in a class higher than 1.20m at that show. (effective 1 Jan 2012) (xiv) Amateur Riders may not compete in an Amateur class on a horse that has, or will compete in any class higher than 1.20m at that show. (effective 1 Jan 2012) The maximum height will be changed to 1.20m in the rules however this will not be effective until 01July 2012. 10. Horse/Rider Combinations may only enter in either a Junior or a Young Rider Class but not both 11. For Ring 3 classes a Junior is someone until the calendar year in which they turn 18 12. All Riders must complete and sign a Liability Waiver Form on arrival at the grounds. Riders will be issued with a wristband that must be worn at all times when riding and competing. Please note no wristband no entry to the ring. 13. All Riders and owners must be financial members of the EA to compete in official classes, and all horses competing in official classes must hold current EA registration and performance cards. Riders maybe required to present horse registration/performance cards upon request of the committee. 14. To satisfy our insurers, it is necessary that all competitors belong to the EA. If you are not an EA member you may take out an event membership for $20 including GST. For such competitors and 5

application form will be available at the office and will need to be competed and paid prior to competition. 15. All owners and competitors will be personally responsible for damages to any third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. 16. Formal Dress Rules Apply however Summer Uniform will be permitted at the discretion of the Judge or Organising Committee. 17. Any Person mounted upon a horse must be wearing a properly secured helmet, which must comply with Australian or European helmet standards, and have appropriate footwear. 18. Draws for all competitors will be made and must be adhered to. Ring 1 will have precedence over Ring 2 & 3. 19. All presentations for the Indoor arena will be mounted and conducted in Ring 1. Riders are expected to be mounted and appropriately attired for presentation. 20. All prize money will be paid by cash, cheque and/or vouchers where applicable. Prize money/vouchers will be available for collection at the Event Office. Outstanding accounts must be settled before Prize Money is collected. 21. AELEC in owned by the Tamworth Regional Council and they have a policy that no dogs are allowed at the centre. SO DON T BRING YOUR DOG OR THEY COULD HAVE A WEEKEND VISIT IN THE POUND. 22. Stables can be booked online with your entries. Cost will be $22 per stable per night with a two day minimum stay. 23. Stable and camping fees are payable to AELEC when booking your stables. Booking are through the following link: www.nominate.com.au/stables/aelec.asp you can copy and paste this URL to your browser. 24. A $35 stable bond will be charged at the time of booking stables. It will be refunded in full if stables are emptied and clean. Competitors have the option of not cleaning their stables and leaving the $35 bond with AELEC as a cleaning fee. 25. Camping is available at $22 per night per campsite. 26. Those competitors not using stables may be liable for a day fee of maximum $20 per truck or trailer as per AELEC rules and these fees will be payable to AELEC on the day. 27. All stable/camping bookings are to be made directly through AELEC using their website at www.nominate.com.au/stables/aelec.asp 28. Temporary yards are not allowed at AELEC. 29. Any complaints or protests in any way related to the event, whether valid or not, will not be considered by the Organising Committee unless they are presented in legible writing and duly signed by a single clearly identified person. When the letter is being presented on behalf of a group it is that group s responsibility to nominate a person to sign it on their behalf. Whether any letter of complaint or protest is acted upon or not is at the sole discretion of the Organising Committee. 6
