BACK ON TRACK The Oklahoma soccer team will look to get back on track this weekend after getting shut out in consecutive matches last weekend against No. 10 Florida and No. 2 Florida State. The matches marked the first time this season that OU has dropped back-to-back contests. 2. STRONG AT HOME The Sooners are 1-0 at home this season after defeating Texas State 4-0 on Sept. 1. OU is often at its strongest at home: last season, Oklahoma posted a 5-3-2 mark at John Crain Field that included wins over Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Kansas and TCU. The Sooners hold an 80-56-15 all-time mark when playing at home in Norman. 3. THE 100 MARK With Oklahoma s victories over Texas State and Kennesaw State so far this season, head coach Matt Potter currently holds 97 career victories spanning two schools and 11 seasons. Potter accumulated 88 victories at his previous stop at Washington State before arriving in Norman prior to the 2012 season. He led the Sooners to a 7-9-4 record in his first season at Oklahoma in 2012. 4. SHARP SHOOTERS A trio of Sooner forwards have accounted for nearly half (19) of OU s 37 shots on goal so far this season. True freshman Caren Nelson leads the way with seven shots on goal, while true freshman Madison Saliba and sophomore Devin Barrett each have six shots apiece. Nelson has been a key part of Potter s offensive attack over the last three games, posting OU s first goal in a 4-0 shutout of Texas State and the Sooners first shot of the game against both Florida and Florida State. 5. SOCCER LIVE ON SOONER SPORTS TV The Oklahoma Athletics Department and FOX Sports announced in August that Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX would broadcast all seven of OU s home matches this season. This weekend s matches will be carried on FOX Sports Oklahoma and FOX College Sports Central, with Chad McKee on the call and Melissa Terry providing color commentary for the broadcasts. #00 Kassadie Stade RFr. GK Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. (Trabuco Hills H.S.) Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Kassadie Stade got the starting nod in both of OU s match ups against No. 10 Florida and No. 2 Florida State last weekend. Stade posted a career-high seven saves against the second-ranked Seminoles on 16 shot attempts Sunday afternoon. She allowed her lone goal of the match in the 75th minute of play.

Game 7 vs. North Texas Oklahoma will close the weekend on Sunday against the North Texas Mean Green. The match is slated for a noon CT start at the OU Soccer Complex, with a live TV broadcast of the match available through Sooner Sports TV. Now in his second season at the helm of the Oklahoma soccer program, head coach Matt Potter has already begun to see his vision for the team take shape. A proven leader and builder of successful programs, Potter arrived at OU in December 2011 with the goal of positioning the Sooners as one of the nation s elite soccer teams. Potter led Oklahoma to a 7-9-4 record in his first season as head coach, the most by a rookie head coach in Sooner history. Potter s squad also qualified to the program s third consecutive Big 12 tournament, another first for the program. Senior Renae Cuellar was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, the first Sooner in program history to earn the title. Cuellar was also named to the NCAA Division I All- Central Region first team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and captured first All-Big 12 and Big 12 All-Newcomer team honors. H E A D C O A C H M A T T P O T T E R North Texas is 4-2 this season after losses to No. 10 Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. A 2012 NCAA Tournament team, the Mean Green arrive in Norman after defeating Sam Houston State (3-0) and TCU (2-0) last weekend. A major part of North Texas efforts has been freshman Rachel Holden, who is ranked ninth nationally with six goals in six total games. Sunday s game will be Norman Public School Day at John Crain Field. The first 250 fans arriving at the complex will receive free popcorn, while face painting, coloring and balloons will also be available. In addition, Second Chance Dog Rescue will be on site and fans are encouraged to bring food, toys and treats to donate to the organization. Who s New? With 15 newcomers hitting the field this season for the Sooners, fans can expect to see plenty of new faces on the pitch throughout the fall. The OU coaching staff signed 14 prospects to their signing class in February before adding one additional transfer in the spring. In-state products joining OU this season are Shiloh Price (Broken Arrow, Okla.), Madison Saliba (Broken Arrow, Okla.) and Lisa Robinson (Oklahoma City, Okla.). The Sooners also added four Arizona high school standouts in Jemma Cota (Mesa, Ariz.), Jamie Iurato (Mesa, Ariz.), Madison Kinzer (Oro Valley, Ariz.) and Rachel Ressler (Phoenix, Ariz.). Four athletes from the Texas soccer ranks chose OU as well: Courtney Forte (Flower Mound, Texas), Paige Jacobs (Coppell, Texas), Miranda Larkin (Rockwall, Texas) and Purdue transfer Katie Sheinfeld (Dallas, Texas). Rounding out the OU roster will be Daisy Cardona (Ventura, Calif.), Kaitlyn Fahrner (Las Vegas, Nev.), Caren Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Elise Romano (Basking Ridge, N.J.). Up Next OU will hit the road next weekend for a pair of matches in the state of Utah. The Sooners will take on No. 6 BYU on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. CT before closing the weekend at Utah on Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. CT.
