Because TRAINING IS NOT A GAME AirMunition provides the complete range of Aircartridges, projectiles, weapon dedications and reloading equipment for training use by Law Enforcement, Military (Peacekeeping) and the professional security branch. AirMunition is a family name for compressed air based munition system. The prime example is a patented Aircatridge, which incorporates a highly sophisticated valve mechanism that releases the pent up force of compressed air when a firing pin strikes a valve in place of the primer. Aircatridge are designed and manufactured in Switzerland, to the same precise engineering standards developed by the Swiss watchmaking industries. New Standards AirMunition technology has made it possible to set new standards and write new rules for firearms training and use of force. AirMunition provide: - better, more realistic training opportunities - Lower cost - Highest possible safety AirMunition is a rugged, reliable product that does not have an expiry date. Those standards represent new added value for Law Enforcement, Correction and Military training. New Application AirMunition is much more than one training system. It is a technology that allows new training concepts to be applied in specialist environments. The technology: Instead of using traditional pyrotechnics as propellant AirMunition has exclusively introduced an alternative to live rounds using compressed air and patented valves. Better training: Using AirMunition allows your weapon to be fully functional in the same manner, as it would be with live ammunition; there is a realistic recoil and the cartridges are ejected, the weapon is fully functional even for immediate action drills by simply using an uncharged Aircartridge. All this and more results in the realistic and super safe realistic training. Students can now fully concentrate on the basic fundamentals of shooting and easily identify any problems. PYROSAFE While AirMunition is the safest indoor training system, AirMunition PYROSAFE complete the line with a disposal training rounds powered by a pyrotechnic primer, but with the same quality and precision of the Aircatridges. Medium Caliber AirMunition supply a complete man on man training system for all the kind of training not only small caliber, but even the 12 gauge and the 37mm, 40mm grenade launchers. Those firearms are always more involved in Less Lethal operation where the training of the operator is mandatory and fundamental. www.airmunition.info AirMunition and PyroSafe Page 1

AIRMUNITION FEATURES, FUNCTIONS AND BENEFITS AirMunition provides the complete range of Aircartridges, projectiles, weapon dedications and reloading equipment for both training and operational use by Law Enforcement, Military (Peacekeeping) and the professional security branch. The Airmunition aircartridge technology: Instead of using traditional pyrotechnics as propellant AirMunition has exclusively introduced an alternative to live rounds using compressed air and patented valves. Less protection needed: Because of the lower noise signature ear protection is not needed which also allows for a better communication between the instructor and the shooter. AirMunition is clean: There is no emission of toxic substances whatsoever such as associated with the use of pyrotechnic ammunition, health related issues are fully absent. Also guns do not have to be cleaned in the way such as after using pyrotechnics. Direct cost savings: All AirMunition Aircartridges can be re used hundreds of times for lowest cost per shot. Indirect cost savings: Because there is no emission of toxic substances while using AirMunition there is no need for shooting ranges and expensive air purifying installations or special storage conditions. The low energy of the AirMunition system causes hardly any wear on the weapons used, which means further savings on the training expenses. All AirMunition products have been designed to function in a wide range of standard weapons, with a minimum of exchangeable parts. Each gun dedication AirMunition produces is extensively tested to ensure the realistic and reliable use in training. The presently available caliber range varies from 9 mm to 40 mm. AirMunition reloading equipment is available as an adapted standard reloading press connected via a remote connection to an aircylinder. For high volume professional end users it is possible to use a compressor for continuous air supply. The output varies between 200 and 250 Bar (2900 and 3625 PSI), depending on type of Aircartridge and weapon used. www.airmunition.info AirMunition and PyroSafe Page 2

SMALL CALIBER TRAINING SYSTEMS Recoil only Training system (9 mm) The RecoilRound system has been developed especially for simulator training and i.a. initial weapon handling when using semi and fully automatic weapons (9 mm). For the RecoilRound, AirMunition uses dedications(modified barrels which are plugged, therefor no projectile can be launched). The lack of realistic weapon functioning as experienced within today s video simulator system has formed the basis for AirMunition to develop a recoil only Aircartridge to provide realistic weapon use. The socalled RecoilRound can also be used as the safest possible blank firing cartridge in different levels of basic and remedial training. Minimum warranty of the 9 mm RecoilRound is by average 600 shots. System parts: Gun dedication Reloading equipment Compressed air 200 Bar/2900 PSI (not included) RecoilRound Simulator environment Applications: Judgmental Weapon theory Initial weapon handling Sighting, trigger practice www.airmunition.info AirMunition and PyroSafe Page 3

Pellet firing The pellet firing Training system is available for both pistols (9 mm) and revolvers (.38 SPL/.357 MAG). The system is developed for use in various training situations. Because the plastic pellet is very accurate and consistent, the number of applications is only limited by the imagination of the user. It can be applied for both basic and advanced training and can also be used together with interactive target systems. Minimum warranty of the.38 Aircartridge is by average 500 shots. System parts: Standard pistol of revolver (not included) Pistol dedication or revolver cylinder safety inserts Reloading equipment Compressed air 200 Bar/2900 PSI (.38) 250 Bar/3625 PSI (7.8 mm) (not included) Aircartridges Pellets Applications: General gun handling practice Shooting at interactive targets Initial firearm practice Instinctive shooting Reaction shooting Draw aim shoot practice Man to man: only with the 9 mm Aircartridge Note: The pellet firing Training system for the.38 is not designed for man to man training. www.airmunition.info AirMunition and PyroSafe Page 4

ManMarker Training system (9 mm) The ManMarker Training system is developed for man to man training suitable for infinite scenario combinations. Presently four different colors are available, more colors will be added in the near future. Because the ManMarker is coated by this coloring substance (which will not be affected by temperature and storage) it will leave a visible signature independent of the angle of impact. It is possible to train with the least possible gear. Minimum warranty of the 9 mm Aircartridge is by average 500 shots. System parts: Standard pistol (not included) Gun dedication Reloading equipment Compressed air 250 Bar / 3625 PSI (not included) Aircartridges ManMarker pellet Applications: Man to man, force on force situations Tactical team scenario training Vehicle stop drills Building searches House / room clearing Aircraft / watercraft / bus / train / subway assaults Judgmental training Defensive tactics training Urban peacekeeping engagements This system is designed for safe man to man training purposes. www.airmunition.info AirMunition and PyroSafe Page 5

RECOILONLY PELLET MANMARKER The above small caliber training ammo are available in both Air based cartridge or pyrotechnic, both can be used in the same Airmunition dedication kit. A dedicated weapon can be used indoor and outdoor with Aircartridge or Pyrosafe, we suggest to use Airmunition for indoor training and Pyrosafe for outdoor training. Aircartridge have to be picked up from the ground after every shooting section for be reloaded, therefore are the best choice for indoor training where is easy the collect operation. Last but not least aircartridge has no emission of toxic substances. Pyrosafe has the same training possibility of Airmunition aircartridge but they are disposable ammunitions based on a pyrotechnic propellant. Therefore they are the best choice for outdoor training where collect empty case is not necessary. For distinguish Aircartridge from Pyrosafe they are color coded: Airmunition Aircartridge are silver color while Pyrosafe are brass color. Conversion Kit Conversion kit are those parts of a live weapons that have to be replaced for made work the firearms properly with AirMuntion and PyroSafe small caliber training ammo. For the major firearms a converted weapon can be reversed to a live firearms, but we do not recommend to do so. For a perfect functionality of your training equipments we recommend to dedicate the necessary amount of weapons for training and keep them in this configuration. The basic conversion kit is only the barrel and the spring of a semi auto pistol, but this could change depending on the firearms model and characteristics, the conversion work should be done by a skilled gunsmith for avoid any malfunction, while for most firearms the conversion can be applied directly by AirMunition Instructor. Why a weapon must be converted: First of all because AirMuntion and PyroSafe are not 9mm caliber bullet (7,8mm), the normal mechanisms of a firearms do not allow the normal cycle of a pistol loaded with our training ammos, they have just 2 joule of power. There is a safety issue as well: converted ConditionBlue barrel has a patented safety vent that, in case a live ammo is forced into chamber and is fired, allow pressure to flow out without any danger while the bullet stop inside the barrel due to the differences of caliber. This mean that every barrel is build with the strength of a real barrel in some cases even more. RELOADING Reloading Station The Reloading station is a valves, nuts and connection device, certified and warranted by Unidare for Europe and Concoa for North America, set up on a press. For safety reloading, this assembly must be strongly fixed on a stable bases; it can be fixed on a workbench or a transportation case (both supplied by AirMunition). The 6 liter Aircylinder can be bought worldwide to Dräger or any other local approved supplier. The Reloading Stations are for Small and Medium Caliber basically the same, the Medium Caliber Reloading Station however has a shotcounter. For reloading the specific calibers, the correct caliber shellholder has to be inserted for both Small And Medium Caliber Reloading Stations, US version or European: Small Caliber Reloading Station (without counter) Art. nr. 02 08 00 (US) Art. nr. 02 08 01 (EU) Medium Caliber Aircartridges (with counter) Art. nr. 02 22 00 (US) Art. nr. 02 22 01 (EU) Aircylinder AirMunition Aircartridges should be reloaded with industrial compressed air. Aircylinder can be bought worldwide at Dräger or any other local approved supplier (see attached list of Dräger suppliers). Refilling the Aircylinder: usually Industrial air is available at your local fire department. Compressed air with respect to temperature Temperature changes will influence the air pressure within an Aircartridge: roughly a temperature change of 10 C / 40 F will cause a pressure difference of about 3,5 %. This can cause dangerous situations (manto man training) so please keep this in mind. For example: 300 Bar > 10,5 Bar 4350 PSI > 152.3 PSI 250 Bar > 8,8 Bar 3625 PSI > 127.6 PSI 200 Bar > 7 Bar 2900 PSI > 101.5 PSI www.airmunition.info AirMunition and PyroSafe Page 8
