Dear Parents, ICS SUPPER & AUCTION: The ICS Supper and Auction will be held this evening, Friday, January 18, in the school gym. We are looking forward to seeing you there for some good food and fun entertainment as we earn money for the school. (Auction Committee) END OF SEMESTER/REPORT CARDS: The second quarter/first semester of the school year ended this past Monday, January 14. Report cards were sent home with the students today. Please check with your students if you do not receive their report cards. EARLY FEBRUARY CHAPEL/WEAR ICS T-SHIRTS: ICS will be having their February Chapel next week Monday, January 21, beginning at 2:20 p.m. We will be having Brent Kooi, missionary to Japan, as our guest speaker. The students are asked to wear their ICS t- shirts to school next Monday. BASKETBALL GAMES: Our basketball season is entering its final weeks. On Tuesday, January 22, both the girls and boys teams will be traveling to Rock Valley to take on the Rock Valley Christian girls and boys teams. The girls game will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the boys game following. The teams will leave school at 3:15 p.m., and driving for the teams will be Val Faber and Brad/Jori Gulker. The following Tuesday, January 29, the teams will travel to Hull to take on the Hull Protestant teams. Driving for the teams will be Karen De Vries and Brad/Jori Gulker, and the teams will leave school at 3:10 p.m. At 2:45 p.m. that afternoon, there will be a pep rally in the school gym honoring the 8th graders. $CRIP ORDERS DUE: $crip orders will be due by noon next Thursday, January 24. Orders may be brought to the Inwood Christian School office, the Sew N More store, Inwood CRC mailbox #139, or you may place your order online at www.shopwithscrip.com. Our school s enrollment code is 95FFA3C746L6. HEARTS & HANDS MEETING: Hearts & Hands will be meeting next Monday evening, January 21, at 7:00 pm in the school music room (room west of the kitchen). We want to encourage all moms to attend. The evening s agenda is attached to the newsletter, and you are asked to bring it with you when you come to the meeting. Also attached is a copy of the Hearts & Hands Constitution showing two proposed amendments with Article IV, Section 4 to be removed and replaced with a new Section 4. The crossed out text is to be removed and the italicized text is to be added. There will be discussion on the proposals at the meeting. We hope to see a great turnout at this important meeting! ICS will be presenting the All-School Musical Treasure Island: Searching for Riches in the Kingdom of God. COLDER WEATHER/APPROPRIATE CLOTHING: Parents, please remind your students to bring their boots, mittens/gloves, snow pants, and caps/hats to school as the students do go outside for recess unless the temperature/wind chill is below zero.

SCHWAN S FUNDRAISER: The Hearts & Hands Schwan s Fundraiser has approximately 28 days remaining. Please encourage your family and friends to order through our fundraiser. (Hearts & Hands) CONTAINERS LEFT AFTER PROGRAM: There are a couple 9 x 12 Tupperware containers that were left after the program in December.
