Fitness Testing for FFA U-17 and U-18 players at the Republic Polytechnic FAS Centre of Excellence For Football Science VO2max is the maximum capacity for oxygen utilization by the body and used commonly as an indicator of aerobic fitness. This measurement takes into account the efficiency and functional capacity of the individual s heart, lungs, blood and working muscles. The VO2max test measures the highest level of oxygen consumed during maximal exercise directly through the collection of expired gases in the laboratory setting. During the test, the individual is made to run on a treadmill progressively from low (low exercise intensity) to higher velocities, until volitional exhaustion. Results of the test will be collected and findings presented in due course as the test was only concluded on 29 September.

We will honour and recognise outstanding achievements by our fans, volunteers, officials and players, both on and off the field. Our home grown FFA U-17 player, Muhammad Syahadat Bin Masnawi, is invited to attend and receive his award (FAS Centre of Excellence Under-19 League, Top Goalscorer Award) at the FAS Nite 2018.
