This year s pageant will take place on Saturday, September 21st, 2013, in King of Prussia, PA, at the Upper Merion Middle School. The Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization is part of the Miss America Organization. Over the last 9 years, we have found that the Miss Outstanding Teen Organization has become a great feeder program for the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization. We hope that the Princess and Pre-Teen Pageant will help introduce young girls to the Miss America System in a friendly, relaxing and encouraging environment. It is our hope that the young girls taking part in the Miss Princess and Pre-teen Pageant will aspire to go on to become Miss Outstanding Teen and eventually, Miss Pennsylvania. We are looking for two young ambassadors for the Miss Pennsylvania Organization to help promote our organization throughout the state at appearances and events. The Miss Princess and Pre-Teen Pageant entry fees will go directly to college scholarships for our Miss Pennsylvania and Miss Outstanding Teen contestants. Competition The phases of competition will be similar to the Miss Pennsylvania System, however, all phases will have equal weighting. Interview (2 minute interview with 5 different judges, for a total of 10 minutes, wear dress or pants, something you might wear to church): 25% Talent (2 minutes or less talent, this can include, dance, singing, instrument, monologue): 25% Formal Wear (Long Dress or Gown): 25% Sportswear (Model clothes from favorite activity, dance, cheering, soccer, basketball, etc.): 25% Prizes Miss Princess and Pre-Teen will each win the following prizes. (Time TBD, based on the number of contestants) This will be to review the rules, the do s and don ts of the day, and to answer any additional questions. The contestants will take part in a rehearsal while parents are in the meeting. Following the Rehearsal contestants will have 1 hour to prepare for the interview competition. Following interview there will be a break for you to leave and get lunch and time to prepare for the pageant. The pageant will move very quickly, there is not much time to change hairstyles, etc. We remind you that this is a very natural pageant and only very minimal makeup will be acceptable. These are young girls and we want to make sure they look like themselves. No flippers, spray tans, wigs, extensions, or false eyelashes will be permitted Other awards and prizes will be given in different areas of competition. Like the Miss America, Miss Pennsylvania, and Miss Outstanding Teen Pageants, score sheets and scores will not be released. The ruling of the judges is final.
