Djokovic has dominated Cilic in their head-to-head, emerging victorious 14 straight times from 2008 through 2015. Cilic, however, finally claimed a win in their 15th and most recent meeting, in the quarter-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 at Paris-Bercy in 2016. Making his 12th straight appearance at Queen s Club, Cilic is into the final for the fourth time in his career, including a runner-up finish last year. The World No. 6 has reached his second final of the season, following his third career Grand Slam final at the Australian Open in January (l. to Roger Federer). The Croatian has made it through the draw with stellar serving statistics, having won 45 of his 46 service games during the week, and leading the field in points won on first serve (90%). Djokovic, meanwhile, is into his first singles final since winning the Eastbourne title on 1 July 2017, nearly a full year ago. Back from a right elbow injury earlier in the season, Djokovic will try to surpass his previous best result at Queen s Club, a runner-up finish ten years ago. Like Cilic, Djokovic has dropped serve only once in the tournament, winning 36 out of his 37 service games during the week. Djokovic picked up his 800th singles match win with his quarter-final victory over Adrian Mannarino before moving into the 99th singles final of his career. The doubles final pits defending champions Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares against Henri Kontinen and John Peers. Soares also won this title in 2014 (with Alexander Peya), beating the team of Murray and Peers in the final. All four players featured in this encounter have been ranked in the Top 2 of the ATP World Tour doubles rankings at some point during their careers (Kontinen and Murray are both former World No. 1 players). FEVER-TREE CHAMPIONSHIPS: DAY 6 MEDIA NOTES Saturday, 23 June 2018 The Queen s Club London, England 18-24 June 2018 Draw: S-32, D-16 Prize Money: 1,983,595 Surface: Grass ATP World Tour Info Tournament Info ATP PR & Marketing ATPWorldTour.com Fever-TreeChampionships.co.uk Mark Epps: mepps@atpworldtour.com Twitter: @ATPWorldTour @QueensTennis Press Officer: david.law@lawsports.net Facebook: @ATPWorldTour @QueensTennis TV & Radio: TennisTV.com CILIC-KYRGIOS, CHARDY-DJOKOVIC SQUARE OFF IN SEMI-FINALS The semi-finals of the Fever-Tree Championships on Saturday are led by top seed Marin Cilic, former World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, top Aussie Nick Kyrgios and in-form Frenchman Jeremy Chardy, who has won 12 of his last 13 grass court matches. In the first match on Centre Court, 2012 Queen s Club champion Cilic and Kyrgios square off for the third time (tied 1-1). Cilic won the first meeting in the 2R at 2013 Roland Garros and Kyrgios took the last meeting in the 2016 Marseille final. It was the Aussie s first ATP World Tour title. Both players are serving extremely well this week. Cilic has held serve 33 of 34 games while winning a tournament-best 91% of 1st serve points. He is also No. 2 in 2nd serve points won (63%). Kyrgios has hit a tournament-high 82 aces, including 32 in each of his past two wins. He is the first player to hit 30+ aces in back-to-back matches in best-of-three sets since Ivan Ljubicic in 2007 Lyon. His 32 aces in his 76 76 quarter-final win over defending champion Feliciano Lopez was one off from John Isner s record (33) for the most aces in two sets since the ATP began tracking aces in 1991. Isner accomplished the feat in 2015 Atlanta vs. Radek Stepanek. Both players are trying to reach their second final of the season. In the opening week of the year, Kyrgios won his fourth career ATP World Tour in Brisbane (d. Harrison). Cilic closed out January with a runner-up at the Australian Open (l. to Federer). Kyrgios is 4-3 in ATP World Tour finals while Cilic is 17-14 in finals. Cilic is attempting to reach his fourth Fever-Tree final (1-2). He was runner-up in 2013 and last year. Kyrgios is trying to become the first Aussie finalist here since Lleyton Hewitt won the title in 2006. In the next match on, Djokovic brings a 10-0 head-to-head record against Chardy, who has held all 30 service games this week, saving nine break points. The Frenchman has never won a set (0-24) against Djokovic. The Serb has only been broken once in 26 service games while breaking opponents a tournament-best 12 times. Djokovic took a wild card this week and he s trying to reach the final here for the first time since 2008 (l. to Nadal). On Friday, he became the 10th player in the Open Era to join the 800 Wins Club. The 31-year-old Serb is looking to reach his first ATP World Tour final since winning the Eastbourne title as a wild card in Eastbourne (d. Monfils) on July 1, 2017. Djokovic is trying to reach his 99th career final (68-30). Since 2012, Djokovic is 48-2 against French opponents, losing only to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the 3R at 2014 ATP Masters 1000 Toronto and to Benoit Paire in the 2R at ATP Masters 1000 Miami in March. Chardy, who has won 12 of his last 13 matches on grass in his last three tournaments, is projected to move from No. 61 with his SF this week and to around No. 46. He is trying to become the first French finalist here since Jo- Wilfried Tsonga in 2011 (l. to Murray). Chardy, a runner-up last week in s-hertogenobosch, is attempting to reach his fourth career ATP World Tour final (1-2). 800 Wins Club: Djokovic is the 10th player in the Open Era with at least 800 match wins: No. 1) Jimmy Connors 1,256 6) John McEnroe 881 2) Roger Federer 1,156 (playing Saturday) 7) Andre Agassi 870 3) Ivan Lendl 1,068 8) Ilie Nastase 846 4) Guillermo Vilas 949 9) Stefan Edberg 801 5) Rafael Nadal 903 10) Novak Djokovic 800

In the first match on Centre Court, top seed and 2012 champion Marin Cilic brings a 5-0 head-tohead record (4-0 on grass) against No. 5 seed and 2010 winner Sam Querrey. The Croat has won three of the meetings at Wimbledon in 2009, 2012 and last year along with a SF at the Queen s Club in 2012. Cilic is 26-9 lifetime at the Queen s Club, reaching the quarter-finals or better seven of his 12 appearances. Querrey, who is appearing in his fourth quarter-final here, last reached the semi-finals six years ago when he lost to Cilic. He is playing a Top 10 opponent for the first time this season and his last Top 10 win came over No. 1 Murray in the QF at Wimbledon last year. In the next match on, reigning champion Feliciano Lopez and Nick Kyrgios square off for the fifth time (tied 2-2) and second week in a row. The Aussie won a three-set quarter-final last week in Stuttgart. He also won their other grass court meeting in 2016 Wimbledon. Lopez beat No. 4 seed David Goffin in the 1R and received a walkover vs. Milos Raonic, who withdrew due to a shoulder injury. Kyrgios fired a personal-best 32 aces in a three-set match in Thursday s win over top Briton Kyle Edmund. He leads the tournament with 50 aces. Lopez is trying to reach his fourth semi-final in 13 years at the Queen s Club. He also was runner-up in 2014 and a semi-finalist in 2010. In the third match on, Frenchman Adrian Mannarino looks for his first win (0-2) against wild card Novak Djokovic. Djokovic won the previous two meetings at Wimbledon in straight sets in the 2R in 2016 and 4R last year. Mannarino is playing in his first quarter-final at the Queen s Club since his debut in 2011. Djokovic, who reached the final here 10 years ago (l. to Nadal), is one win away from becoming the 10th player in the Open Era to join the 800 Wins Club. The 31-year-old Serb has cruised into his third consecutive quarter-final (Rome-SF, Roland Garros-QF) losing only eight games in wins over qualifier John Millman and No. 2 seed/2014 champion Grigor Dimitrov. In the final match, Frenchman Jeremy Chardy and #NextGenATP American Frances Tiafoe meet for the first time on the ATP World Tour. Last year Tiafoe won in a third-set tie-break on clay in the final of the Aix-en-Provence (FRA) Challenger. The winner of this match will move into the Top 50 of the ATP Rankings next week. Chardy, who has won 11 of his last 12 matches on grass in his last three tournaments, is projected to move from No. 61 to No. 55 with his QF this week and to around No. 46-47 if he gets to the SF. Tiafoe will jump from No. 62 to No. 51 with his first grass court quarter-final and if he reaches the SF, he will move to around No. 44-45. This is the first time two Frenchmen have reached the quarter-finals at the Queen s Club since 2011 when Jo-Wilfried Tsonga advanced to the final and Mannarino lost in the quarter-finals.

The former World No.1 underwent right hip surgery in January and fell outside the Top 100 of the ATP Rankings last week for the first time since 2005. Other former Fever-Tree champions in action are reigning titleholder Feliciano Lopez and 2014 winner Grigor Dimitrov. Two other past champions Marin Cilic (2012) and Sam Querrey (2010) opened with 1R wins on Monday. In the opening match on Centre Court, Dimitrov brings a 2-0 record against Damir Dzumhur, winning three-set matches on hard courts in 2016-17. Dimitrov, who is making his 10th appearance at the Queen s Club (15-8), won the 2014 title. He closed out last season by winning his biggest career title at the Nitto ATP Finals in London (d. Goffin). Dzumhur is 4-11 lifetime vs. Top 10 foes. In the next match on, Aussie qualifier John Millman takes on wild card Novak Djokovic for the first time. Millman is making his Queen s Club main draw debut. Djokovic returns to the Queen s Club for the first time since 2010. His best result is a runner-up in 2008 (l. to Nadal). Like Murray, the Serb ended his 2017 season in the Wimbledon quarter-finals. Back from a right elbow injury, Djokovic is 14-8 this season. His last final/title came on 1 July 2017 in Eastbourne (d. Monfils). In the third match on, top Aussie Nick Kyrgios looks for his first singles win (0-3) at the Queen s Club and also attempts to beat Murray for the first time (0-5).
