While certain positions including the Chief Referee will be filled by JLA Officials as the host country, there are a number of senior and other positions available to international officials. Notice of ISRC 2013 for officials ONJUKU Beach Onjuku beach is located on the east coast of Chiba Prefecture, east coast of Boso Peninsula. Approximately 128km from Tokyo Narita International Airport and 86km from Haneda(Tokyo) International Airport. Onjuku enjoys temperate climate throughout the year. The beach is representative beach in Chiba which has 2km of white sandy beach and numerous tourists enjoy swimming every year. In 1609, when a Spanish galleon, San Francisco ran aground Onjuku on a stormy day, it is told villagers all together went to rescue the crew, warmed them on bare skin, and generously cared them with clothes and food. For this action, 317 out of 373 crews saved their lives. Onjuku beach hosts lifesaving national competitions almost every year, and lifesaving is locally well known. The town welcomes the opening of ISRC and international friends around the world. Information on Accommodation, Transportation, Meals Transportation, accommodation fee, and meals are to be paid at own expense. Further detailed information will be noticed to representing contact points via email. A special website for International Surf Rescue Challenge will be uploaded with a link on JLA homepage.
