The philosophy of CYS integrates good sportsmanship, technique, and skills into each sport offered. The goal is for coaches, students and parents to all be on the same page. We have secured the date for our Brevard Catholic Youth Sports Night Out with the Orlando Magic. The date is Saturday November 21st. It is a 5:00pm game so it is not a late ride home. I have reserved a pre- game high five tunnel for 20 kids. I will take 20 kids comprised from all participating schools down to the court before the game. There will be location and meeting time instructions to follow. This is an opportunity to come together as a community and have a great night out. A portion of every ticket sold will be donated back to your schools Athletics program. The more tickets you sell, the more you get back. As soon as I receive the order form I will forward it to each of you. Ticket prices will be $23 for upper bowl and $38 for lower bowl seating. Start getting the word out. Have a great holiday weekend. Dave Parker CYS Deputy Commissioner of Athletics for Brevard County. Interested in coaching a team at SMS? their fingerprints have fully cleared and they have viewed the Safe Environment Video online. Please see the St. Mary s School office for complete information. Coaches must also view the online Concussion Training Video (30 minutes) and print out a certificate that will be brought to the school office and kept on file. Parent Concussion and Heat Related Illness Forms As of July, 2012, all parents and athletes must sign forms stating that they understand the risks of concussion and heat related illnesses during sports events.
