The organizer is not responsible for the quality of the slope Skiing the runs is at the skier s own responsibility. The organizer is not responsible for damage or theft.
Contest Rules Contest Two teams of four skiers ski against each other. At the start of the slope the choice of the run and the right and left side of the slope will be allotted. Both teams start at the same time and ski the same run beside each other on the contest slope. Down the slope, a panel of judges will choose the winner. The teams will continue the Synchro Challenge following the Knock-Out System. Each team will ski at least two runs. Deelnemers Skiers from 8 years old, able to ski the runs Teams Membership Teams must consist out of 4 to 7 persons. Each run, 4 skiers can take part in the contest, but these four skiers can switch. Team-name If more than 1 team of one ski club/ski school/ ski team are participating, the name must be different for each team (for example: Cool Movements 1, Cool Movements 2) Team Coach Each team should choose one team-coach as a contact person for the organization. This can be either a skier of the team or the trainer of the team. Categories Participants can sign up for the following categories. Signing up for a more challenging category is allowed. Professionals: A team consists out of two ore more certified ski instructors or skiers in possession of a race contest license Recreationals: A team consists out of maximum one certified ski instructors or skiers in possession of a race contest license. Kids: A team consists out of skiers in the age between 8 16 years old (born in 2008 1999)* * dispensation for a maximum of 1 skier aged 17 (born 1998) The organization is allowed to combine teams if the minimum of 3 teams per category isn t reached. Runs At the start of the run, there will be allotted for the side of the slope and which of the two runs have to be done. The two runs are set on forehand and are described in the appendix. A start line will be at the start. The first skier must be in start position behind these lines. A finish line will be at the finish. This line must be crossed by all the skiers before finishing the run. When the skiers did not cross the finish line, point deduction will be the consequence.
The kids will ski different runs as the other categories. Run 1 is the same, however, they could also choose for an easier variant. The panel of judges will of course have in mind which variant of Run 1 has been skied. Run 2 is different from the run 2 of the other categories (see Appendix 1 Runs). Contest progress When registration period has finished, drawing of lots will determine the scheme of the knock-out system. A Knock-Out system with a lucky loser lap will be used. The organization is always allowed to change the knock out system based on the amount of participants. Music The organization will take care of the music being played during the contest. Assessment criteria Synchronicity This applies moving at the same time (simultaneous and rhythmic turns). The movements of all skiers should be tuned. Positions This applies being in the right positions that are set up in the runs on forehand. If all skiers are in the right positions, this will make the run complete and in positional aspects right. Sporty skiing technique This is about the quality of the turns. A perfect turn is controlled, carved, fluence and dynamic. The panel of judges will also assess on the speed. Meet the contest rules This criterion will assess the correctness of the contest run. This means: the right amount of turns, a right switch of positions, etc. Panel of judges The panel of judges will consist out of three judges. They will assess the runs together. Disqualification - Teams that appear at the start too late, will be disqualified - Teams that set up skiers that are not registrated will be disqualified. Objection A team coach can object to the judgement within ten minutes after the run. Founded arguments are unforeseen circumstances (e.g. sudden obstacles on slope). Unfounded arguments are mistakes caused by equipment, slope, crash. Contest slope The contest will take place in SnowWorld Landgraaf on the contest slope (with your face to the top, it s the left one). Awards
Each team can win awards that will be determined in advance. There will be awards for four skiers of each team, although a team may consist out of 4-7 skiers. Objection to this fact can t be made.
