Inaugural Ceremony Guest of Honour Smt. Ranjana Gauhar Ranjana Gauhar is a leading exponent of the Indian Classical Dance, Odissi. She won the Padma Shree in 2003 and with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for the year 2007 by the President of India. Ranjana ji s performances bear the signature of a distinctive style because of her extensive training in Chhau, Kathak and Manipuri.

Nupur (Indian Classical and Folk Dance Society) st Date: 21 February, 2018 Time: 10:15 am Venue: Auditorium RULES: Solo Classical Dances: Dance must be purely classical be it any form. One-two entries per college. Time limit: 5 to 7 minutes. Songs/tracks should be brought in a pendrive on the day of the event. One backstage helper allowed. Film songs are not allowed. Indian Group/Folk dances Dance must be purely folk. Films songs are not allowed. One entry/ team per college is allowed. Two backstage helpers allowed Use of props such as fire, glass, powder, water etc. are not allowed. Songs must be brought in a pendrive on the day of the event. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification. Limit to number of team members is 8-12. Time limit: 7 to 10 minutes including setup time. Teams exceeding time limit, marks will be deducted. There should be a minimum of 5 performers and a maximum of 15 on stage performers, at a particular moment on stage performing. The music should only be instrumental and should be maximum of 10minutes. Lyrics of any language are not to be included in the piece. Explanatory voiceovers can be included to a maximum of 2 minutes. La Vogue Glitz (The Fashion Society) Date: 22nd February, 2018 Time: 02:30 pm Venue: Auditorium Rules: This is a team event only and only one team per college is allowed with maximum number of participants being 20 per team (including models, makeup artists, choreographers). Theme: open All teams are requested to email their music to glitz.knc@gmail.com latest by 20th February. Teams are also requested to get their music in a pen drive/cd as a backup. Entries after 20th February will not be entertained. Vulgarity in clothing and sequences is strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate disqualification. Use of any hazardous material on stage is strictly prohibited. It is imperative that all the team members must possess a valid college ID which must be presented at the time of registration. Teams have to get their own props and nothing will be provided by college. Teams are requested to get their own backstage help for any sort of onstage help. The decision of the judges will be final and binding. Note: Slotting will be done through a surprise event so all the selected participants are requested to be at the venue on time.
