CEMENTING PLUGS DRK can provide top and bottom cement displacement plugs. These plugs are PDC drillable and are available in sizes 114.3MM to 339.7MM. PLASTIC CORED NON ROTATING TOP PLUG SERIES 264 Two styles of plugs are manufactured, conventional top and bottom plugs and non rotating top and bottom plugs. In conjunction with the non rotating plugs, a non rotating receiver plate must be ordered for the landing the plug in the top of the shoe or collar. The rubber elastomer on the plugs are for use with water based drilling mud or oil based drilling mud. PLASTIC CORED TOP PLUG SERIES 262 Special plugs for tapered casing strings and large diameter plugs for casing sizes larger then 339mm are available. PLASTIC CORED NON ROTATING BOTTOM PLUG SERIES 265 PLASTIC CORED BOTTOM PLUG SERIES 263 NON ROTATING TEETH INSERT USED WITH NON ROTATING PLUGS INSTALLED IN THE TOP OF FLOAT COLLARS AND FLOAT SHOES 8
CENTRALIZERS DRK centralizers have been designed to provide optimal performance in varying well bore applications. Conventional centralizers are manufactured in 4 main styles, including standard latch-on bow spring centralizers, latch-on semi rigid bow spring centralizers, slip-on close tolerance bow spring centralizers and latch-on rigid centralizers. These four styles of centralizers will meet the majority of casing centering requirements. These centralizers feature: LATCH-ON BOW SPRING CENTRALIZER SERIES 100 Spring made from Unique alloy steel that result in a welded centralizer that is stronger then any non weld centralizer being manufactured. LATCH-ON SEMI RIGID BOW SPRING CENTRALIZER SERIES 102 Convex flexible bow springs that result in higher restoring forces and low er running forces then commonly used flat springs. Collars with internally wrapped hinged for optimal strength locked with high strength locking hinge pins. SLIP-ON CLOSE TOLERANCE BOW SPRING CENTRALIZER SERIES 104 Collars have formed reinforcing ridges that strengthen the collars to 9
maintain size prior to and during use. LATCH-ON RIGID CENTRALIZER SERIES 120 1
CENTRALIZERS Solid slip on stand-off bands are manufactured in a medium duty pressed metal style and in a heavy duty style with solid vanes, the latter being available with or without set screws. These feature: STANDARD STAND-OFF BAND SERIES 122 m Constructed of steel, that has compressive and impact strengths higher then aluminum, zinc and composite plastic with a coefficient of friction less then zinc and aluminum. m No t e m p e r a t u r e limitations. HEAVY DUTY STAND-OFF BAND SERIES 123 HEAVY DUTY STAND- OFF BAND WITH SET SCREWS SERIES 124 SLIP-ON METAL FIN CEMENT BASKET SERIES 169 The DRK Cement Basket, a slip-on unit with full metal bow springs and metal fins with solid end collars. This basket is used for reducing cement pressure on the formations below the basket and for supporting the cement above weak formations or below stage cementing collars. 10
CASING JEWELRY LATCH-ON BOLT LOCK STOP COLLAR SERIES 140 DRK offers three styles of commonly used stop collars for locating the centralizers and cement baskets on the casing string. The most common stop collar is the Latch-on Stop Collar that uses a bolt lock to friction lock the collar to the casing. Application of standard torque will result in holding forces up to eight times the API allowable starting for bow spring centralizers. SLIP-ON SET SCREW LOCK STOP COLLAR SERIES 143 DRK also manufactures slip-on stop collars. The standard Slip-on Stop Collar is designed for use with close tolerance centralizers and is commonly used in small annular clearance applications such as the running of liner hangers. When very high running forces are expected, the use of the heavy duty slip-on set screw lock stop collar is recommended. Holding force of up to twenty-five times the API allowable centralizer starting force can be obtained with this style of stop collar.. HEAVY DUTY SLIP-ON SET SCREW LOCK STOP COLLAR SERIES 144 DRK manufactures a Latch-on Reciprocating Cable Scratcher for removal of mud cake through the reciprocation of the casing during running and displacement operations. RECIPROCATING CABLE WALL CLEANER SLIP-ON BOLT LOCK SERIES 161 11
MECHANICAL STAGE COLLAR The DRK Mechanical Stage Collar Series 250 and plug set has been designed for use in vertical and slightly deviated well bores. The features of the Mechanical Stage Collar: m The mechanical stage that has the shortest length currently being manufactured in the industry. The short length prevents the sleeve from being wedged against the body due to bending. m All components have burst and collapse pressures equal to or exceeding the API pressure ratings for the casing. m All stage collars are pressure tested prior to shipment to ensure sealing integrity of the tool. m Internally installed shear pins that can be adjusted in the field prior to use to increase and decrease opening and closing pressures. m No holes in the body for installing the shear pins results in no ancillary hole that maybe subject to pressure loss between the annulus and the casing bore. m Anti rotating locks to prevent rotation of the sleeves during drill out. m Opening seat made from aircraft grade forged aluminum to ensure burst and collapse pressure are achievable prior to opening of the stage collar. m Short seat lengths to allow for quick drill out. m Full bore cementing ports. m Catch pockets that prevent any sheared particle from preventing full operating and movement of the sleeve. m Snap ring locks the sleeve in the closed position. m All steel material used meet or exceeds the casing properties of the casing string being used in the well. SERIES 250 MECHANICAL STAGE COLLAR 12
MECHANICAL STAGE COLLAR STANDARD PLUG SET Standard plug sets included with each stage collar include a baffle plate, 1st stage wiper plug, free fall opening devise and closing plug. Alternative plug sets can be furnished, such as a continuous cementing plug set or 3 stage cementing plug sets. CLOSING PLUG m 1st stage plugs are latch in type that provide seal to prevent back flow of 1st stage cement. m 1st stage latch-in nose and free fall opening devise use poly pack seals to positive sealing. FREE FALL OPENING DEVICE 1ST STAGE LATCH DOWN WIPER PLUG AND LATCH- IN BAFFLE PLATE m All materials are PDC drillable. m Closing plug incorporates bleed off ports to prevent hydraulic lock during closing..
