Thanks to Robert Lohn one of our members for starting this project. Members of the Community, Coats for the Cold is a grassroots community movement that provides new coats to those who cannot afford them. The goal of the project is to give people, especially children, the dignity and respect of having a brand new coat to keep them warm in the winter months. It s about putting smiles on children s faces who receive a brand new coat for the first time in their life. Imagine that...having never had a new coat, ever. Coats for the Cold has made it possible, but only with the involvement of our community. It s with the ever growing support of businesses, schools, and individuals who have selflessly contributed to the cause that we have accomplished so much. A foundation has been laid that will allow Coats for the Cold to continue for many years into the future, and it is with sincere gratitude that we thank all of you who have supported this amazing cause. January is Coats for the Cold month. Beau Pre will be one of many places you can drop off gently used coats.
