Saddlebrooke Ranch Men s Golf Association Sept 2017 On September 5, 2017, Board Members of the SaddleBrooke Ranch Men s Golf Association had the honor of sharing pizza, soda and dessert with our hard working Golf Maintenance Staff. We talked about each employee s responsibility on the course and enjoyed a few stories of rattlesnakes and near miss golf shots. Our Board thanked them for their hard work in keeping our course in tiptop shape. Please, when you see them on the course, acknowledge them with a wave and a smile. They love their jobs and work very hard under all sorts of conditions. We couldn t ask for a better ground s crew!!! Saddlebrooke Men s Golf Association Sept 2017 BROTHERS IN SARTORIAL SPLENDOR Mick Bohm is a fine golfer as is Jeff Silver. Little did Mick know that he has a serious competitor for the BEST DRESSED golfer among the Saddlebrooke Ranch Men s Golf Association. I can t wait to see what Mick comes up with to respond to Jeff s challenge. Who said the SBRMGA were a bunch of old serious golf guys. 4

Saddlebrooke Ranch Men s Golf Association Sept 2017 BEST ROUND EVER Wine is one of the few things that get s better with age. Michael Tomaso decided to add another event to the list of age related achievements. On Aug 31 Michael shot a 75 which is his best round ever. Way to go Michael 5

Saddlebrooke Men s Golf Association Sept 2017 GOLF HUMOR Two guys grew up together, but after college, one moved to Michigan and the other to Florida. They agree to meet every 10 years in Vero Beach and play golf. At age 30, they finish their round of golf and go to lunch. Where do you wanna go? Matt asked. Hooters, was Jimmy s reply. Why? Matt inquired further. Well, you know, they ve got the pretty girls there, Jimmy said. Okay, Matt conceded. 10 years later at age, 40 they play again. Where do you wanna go? Matt asked. Hooters, Jimmy said. Why? Matt asked again. Well, you know, they got cold beer and the big screen TVs and everybody has a little action on the games, Jimmy said. At age 50, the two meet up again, play a round of golf and get ready for lunch. Where do you wanna go? Matt asked. Hooters, Jimmy said. Why? Matt said, waiting for the new answer. The food is pretty good and there is plenty of parking, Jimmy said. Okay, Matt agreed. At age 60, they meet, play and go to eat. 6

Saddlebrooke Ranch Men s Golf Association Sept 2017 Where do you wanna go? Matt asked. Hooters, Jimmy said. Why? Matt prodded again, knowing his buddy would have a fresh reason this time around. Wings are half price, Jimmy said. Okay, Matt said. Getting up there in age, they meet to play at age 70. Following the round the same refrain came. Where do you wanna go? Matt asked. Hooters, Jimmy said. Why? Matt asked another time. They have 6 handicap parking spaces right by the door, came Jimmy s reasoning. Okay, Matt said. 80 years old, losing their hearing, hair and memories, the two meet up one last time. Where do you wanna go for lunch? Matt asked. Hooters, Jimmy said eagerly. Why this time? Matt said We ve never been there before, Jimmy said. 7

Saddlebrooke Men s Golf Association Sept 2017 PRIZE WINNINGS Please read this carefully. If you had a positive balance on your My Winnings card on July 31 st that balance has been carried over to the NorthStar system and is available to use before December 31 st. After August 1 st no prize money has been added to the My Winnings cards. Those funds are now in a credit book associated with your NorthStar member account. By scanning your HOA card in the Pro Shop the counter staff can tell you your current credit book balance. (You might want to hang on to your My Winnings card until you verify your balance has been transferred.) You may have winnings from Thursday s men s league as well as Sadie Hawkins and other special events. Those winnings are held in the same account. The Pro Shop has an end-of-year sale in event in December with nice discounts on most merchandise. Prior to the sale event extra merchandise is brought in. A few days before the sale event you can bag what you want to buy and have it held in the Pro Shop. When the sale begins you can complete your transaction. In addition to merchandise you can use your prize money to purchase range balls. All prize money accrued since Dec 1 st, 2016 expires on Dec 31 st, 2017. 8
