Organisation Diagram Explanation Passing Exercise to encourage build up patterns leading up to the main front third objective in session progression. General Team task Each position as a specific movement to practice, timing, checking to lose marker, body shape, first touch, quality of the next pass. Player Actions Look and Observe Communication Positioning feet body stance before receiving Control first touch Technique 1st touch and beyond Skill quality of the next pass Timing, checking to lose marker, body shape, first touch, quality of the next pass SAQ Dynamic Warm up (Progressive, slow to fast and small to large) Lower legs Skipping Posterial Sport Specific

Organisation Diagram Explanation 3 team Game - Outside team change every 3 minutes - Inside teams change when they lose possession In this game we will work on the general concepts of ball possession in the front third. Team task 1 Can we maintain Possession, be patient and move the ball quickly with 1 and 2 touch passing so we move the opposition defence around. Player Actions Time movement to show for the ball in space Cues Outside player(s) - Can you support the receiver at all times so we can probe for a clear opening. Inside Player(s) - Can you show for the ball so outside players have a clear forward pass option. Team task 2 Can we support the ball in a way that will give us clear opportunities on Goal Player Actions Can you create angles for forward passes so we can receive facing forwards. Cues Inside Player(s) - When the outside players receive the ball can you lose your marker and offer angled support. Inside Player(s) - Technical - Angled support, time movement, Position yourself on the half turn, open your body, to show far foot.

GAME TRAINING CONTINUED Team task 3 Can we support the bounce back if a player receives with his back to goal Player Actions Can we lose our markers to support the bounce pass of the forward player Cues When the player cannot turn CAN YOU show for the ball in space When the player cannot turn can you make a third man run to create a penetrating action for a 1 touch pass Team task 4 (Start working with Individuals, nominate Player 9) 9 CAN YOU be in a position to attack the ball from either side of our build up Player Actions CAN WE build up and create definite goal scoring situations for our 9 Cues 9 When the ball is switched from one side to the other CAN YOU put yourself in a position to attack the centre of the goal. 9 When the ball is wide CAN YOU make a explosive run to the front post

Organisation Diagram Explanation Attack v Defence to create game situation build ups Rules Blues attack the whites trying to create a clear opening on goal Whites intercept they have to score in one of the 3 goals within 10 seconds Bonus Goals van be awarded if coach moments can be recreated. Equipment 2 GK Bibs 7 x coloured bibs (Numbered) 7 x coloured bibs (Numbered) 10 x Balls 10 x poles to mark corners and halfway 20 x cones to mark outer pitch General notes 1. 1 & 2 touch passing 2. Supporting Players - Time movement to lose markers 3. Bowl shape around the Penalty box 4. Support players create short forward passing options 5. Support players receive on the half turn so they can face forwards 6. Support players if you are back to goal bounce pass to other supporting players who can face forwards

Organisation Diagram Position Specific Notes (9) 1. 9 stays high to make the pitch long 2. 9 supports the build up - when the he comes ball side 7,11,10 move to 9 3. 9 also stays far so he can make positive movements to attack the ball from any wide deliveries 4. 9 often makes front post runs 5. 9 drops off in the closer build up so he can make explosive forward runs 6. 9 is always creating angles to support the player on the ball 7. 9 if he cannot turn with his back to goal he can support any 1-2s 8. 9 is in a back to goal situation he can spin off the defender of the defender is marking too tight Position Specific Notes (7 & 11) 1. 7 and 11 tuck in to support the central build 2. 7 and 11 look to show on the half turn with short angled support 3. 7 and 11 support the wide build up to create positive runs from 2-5 4. 7 and 11 support 2-5 and try and receive so they can face forwards and attack the defenders 5. 7 and 11 drop off 9 to create a triangle centrally 6. 7 and 11 drop off so they can explode forwards to create a penetrating run or a decoy run for others 7. 7 and 11 at times stay wide so they can use their 1v1 skills to run at the defender 8. 7 and 11 have the technical skills to receive the ball from all angles 9. 7 and 11 use off the ball movement to disturb the opposition 10. 7 & 11 also play in the 9 and 10 space but do understand the change in roles

Step by Step General Team CAN WE Create a bowl shape around the Penalty box CAN WE Give clear support to the player on the ball if he cannot play forwards CAN WE Create we support the player on the ball with short angled support CAN WE Show on the half turn so we can face forwards CAN WE Show for the ball at all times even if we cannot turn and face forwards CAN WE Support the player with his back to Goal for the bounce back pass

Step by Step Position 9 feedback 9 CAN YOU Adjust so you are always on the far side of the build up 9 CAN YOU Get yourself into a position to attack the ball centrally 9 WHAT IF If you support the ball on the near side your role will change 7,11,or 10 CAN YOU take the 9 role so we have this attacking threat centrally 9 CAN YOU Angle your support so you are available for a pass 9 CAN YOU Try and be on the half turn so you can face forwards

Step by Step Position 7 and 11 feedback 7-11 CAN YOU Tuck in show, hold up the ball and occupy the opposition back 4 7-11 CAN YOU On receiving - CAN YOU turn On receiving If you cannot turn drop off and look to support 7-11 CAN YOU Support the 2-5 to create a build up opportunity wide for overlap or underlap 7-11 WHAT IF CAN YOU turn and goe yourself if the defender expects a pass to 2-5 7-11 CAN YOU If 2-5 are not happy with options in the box CAN YOU support so you can face forwards and attack the opposition from a angle 7-11 CAN YOU drive at them CAN YOU 1-2 of players in front of you

Step by Step Position 7 and 11 feedback continued 7-11 CAN YOU Create a left and right option for the central player 7-11 CAN YOU Lose your marker and receive facing forwards IF YES Can you now bounce off 9 to penetrate 7-11 CAN YOU A variation one stay wide so we can stretch and create a 1v1 situation.
