SECTION 3- Hazards Identification * EMERGENCY OVERVIEW *: MAY BE HARMFUL AND TOXIC IF INHALED OR ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN. Aspiration hazard if swallowed. Can enter lungs and cause damage. May cause allergic skin reaction. May cause allergic respiratory reaction. EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE - EYE CONTACT: Severely irritating. If not removed promptly, will injure eye tissue, which may result in permanent tissue damage. EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE - SKIN CONTACT: May be toxic if absorbed through the skin. Causes skin irritation. Allergic reactions are possible.. EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE INHALATION: Sensitizer may cause allergic respiratory reaction. EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE INGESTION: Ingestion of excessive amounts may cause irritation of the digestive tract and signs of nervous system depression. ASPIRATION HAZARD! This material can enter the lungs during swallowing or vomiting causing lung inflammation and damage. Product may be moderately toxic and may be harmful if swallowed; may produce damage to red blood cells. EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE CHRONIC HAZARDS: Overexposure of 2- propoxyethanol has been found to cause the following effects in lab animals: blood abnormalities, kidney damage, spleen damage, and liver abnormalities. The relevance of the findings to humans is uncertain. PRIMARY ROUTE(S) OF ENTRY: SKIN CONTACT INHALATION EYE CONTACT SKIN ABSORBTION SECTION 4 First Aid Measures FIRST AID - EYE CONTACT: DO NOT DELAY. Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical advice. Obtain immediate medical attention. FIRST AID SKIN CONTACT: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes and flush affected area with large amounts of water. If skin is damaged, apply a clean dressing and seek medical attention. If skin surface is not damaged cleanse thoroughly with mild soap and water. If redness or irritation develops seek medical attention. Destroy contaminated shoes. FIRST AID INHALATION : If respiratory symptoms or other symptoms of exposure develop, move victim away from the source of exposure and into fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek immediate medical attention. If victim is not breathing, immediately start artificial respiration. If breathing difficulties develop, oxygen should be administered by qualified personnel. Seek immediate medical attention. (Continued on page 3) 2

SECTION 4 First Aid Measures contd. FIRST AID INGESTION: This material is a potential aspiration hazard. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITTING. If swallowed seek emergency medical attention. If victim is drowsy or unconscious, place victim on left side with head down. If possible, do not leave the victim unattended. SECTION 5 Fire Fighting Measures FLASH POINT: N.A.
