Skating is a positive environment for children to grow, develop & be the best they can be... Love the sport love the people officials are great n always helpful and understanding to the kids n tell them in a way they would understand what they have done wrong Great sport, great people. Artistic is an awesome sport to be involved. Have met many friends in New Zealand and around the world.
Fees are too high for skaters and officials. It is a very expensive sport There needs to be a structured coaching program that is affordable to many other kids Why was coaching not included in survey [ED this was phase one, I m sure we will explore each area of our sport!] The skating world need to learn to adapt our sport needs more promoting and better funding (stating the obvious!) its a great sport with exciting codes which is unheard of to many
A review of masters? Ages, rules when in camps? Is our structure the best for the modern world club upwards? Long time between events, lost interest Move artistic nationals back to Xmas Lack of venues is an issue More support needed
Survey Monkey invite to all current members Ihnz and Roller Hockey failed to provide membership email addresses in time Asked about how they got into skating, what styles of skating they have done
390 invitations were sent to Skate NZ Artistic and Speed members. 2 reminder emails were sent to those who had not started the survey 77% read the email invitation 54% clicked through to the survey 172 people completed the survey 32 completed part of the survey
The initial invite was not clear in the subject header that it was from Skate NZ. This was changed for the last reminder. When asking about officials explicitly include club officers.
