Dropping back-to-back games for the first time all season at the end of July, the Hounds have responded emphatically, reeling off their second three-game win streak of the year. A win on Saturday night would give Pittsburgh a season-high four-game winning streak. The last time the Black and Gold hit that mark in a season? 2013. The Hounds will also be shooting for their eighth home victory. Eight home wins would be the most the club has amassed since 2004. Only three other times in franchise history has it totaled at least eight home wins (2004, 2000 and 1999). Adding to the On the Mon drama, a victory this weekend ensures the Hounds a winning record at Highmark Stadium for 2018. Since the modern era of USL began play in 2011, Pittsburgh has accomplished a winning record at home on three occasions, all resulting in playoff berths (2015, 2013, 2011). Accomplishing all of this will have to buck some historical trends though, as the Independence hold a spotless 5-0-2 record against the Hounds all-time, including a 2-0-1 mark at Highmark Stadium. The disparity in head-to-head competition has been jarring with Charlotte outscoring Pittsburgh by a 16-to-5 margin in these contests. If there is a bogeyman the Hounds should be on the lookout for on Saturday, look no further than Jorge Herrera. Herrera leads the Jacks with 10 goals and has had past success against Pittsburgh, scoring 11 career goals against the Black and Gold - the second most an opponent has scored against the Hounds in their history. The scoresheet has been all Reggae Boyz during the threegame win streak with Jamaicans Neco Brett and Kenardo Forbes accounting for 13 (5G/3A) of the 17 points (6G/5A) tallied by the Hounds. Brett has been a man on fire, tallying five goals during his three-game scoring streak, including game-winning tallies in each of those contests. The RMU product has upped his goal total to 13, placing him in a tie for second in the race for the Golden Boot. Forbes, meanwhile, has played distributor, adding three assists to his club-leading total of seven continuing to build on a career-high for the four-year USL veteran. Also worth noting, midfielder Christiano François is on a two-game assist streak. The Haitian has been a sensation for the Hounds as of late, tallying points in four of his past seven contests (2G/2A). 2018 SCHEDULE & RECORD League Record: 12-3-7 Home: 7-2-3 Away: 5-1-4 Non-League Play: 1-1-0 MARCH Sat. 24 @Nashville SC CW T, 0-0 Sat. 31 PENN FC CW T, 0-0 APRIL Sat. 7 TORONTO FC II YouTube W, 4-0 Sat. 14 OTTAWA FURY FC ESPN+ W, 1-0 Sat. 21 @FC Cincinnati CW T, 2-2 Sat. 28 ATLANTA UNITED 2 ESPN+ W, 1-0 MAY Sat. 5 @Toronto FC II CW W, 2-1 Fri. 11 INDY ELEVEN ESPN+ T, 0-0 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round Two Wed. 16 @Erie Commodores FC N/A W, 2-1 Sat. 19 @Tampa Bay Rowdies CW T, 2-2 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round Three Wed. 23 FC CINCINNATI N/A L, 1-3 Sat. 26 PENN FC ESPN+ T, 0-0 Wed. 30 NASHVILLE SC ESPN+ L, 0-1 JUNE Sat. 2 @Richmond Kickers CW W, 2-1 Sat. 16 NEW YORK RED BULLS II CW W, 3-0 Sat. 23 @Charleston Battery CW T, 0-0 Wed. 27 @Louisville City FC ESPN+ W, 1-0 JULY Wed. 4 NORTH CAROLINA FC ESPN+ W, 2-0 Sun. 8 @Ottawa Fury FC ESPN+ W, 1-0 Sat. 21 CHARLESTON BATTERY ESPN+ L, 0-1 Sat. 28 @North Carolina FC CW L, 1-2 AUGUST Wed. 1 RICHMOND KICKERS ESPN+ W, 3-0 Sat. 4 TORONTO FC II ESPN+ W, 1-0 Sun. 12 @Bethlehem Steel FC CW W, 2-1 Sat. 18 CHARLOTTE INDEPENDENCE ESPN+ 7 p.m. Wed. 22 TAMPA BAY ROWDIES ESPN+ 7 p.m. Wed. 29 @Indy Eleven ESPN+ 7 p.m. SEPTEMBER Sat. 1 @FC Cincinnati CW 7:30 p.m. Fri. 7 BETHLEHEM STEEL FC ESPN+ 7 p.m. Sat. 15 LOUISVILLE CITY FC ESPN+ 7 p.m. Sat. 22 INDY ELEVEN ESPN+ 7 p.m. Wed. 26 @Penn FC ESPN+ 6:30 p.m. Sat. 29 @Charlotte Independence CW 7 p.m. OCTOBER Sat. 6 FC CINCINNATI ESPN+ 7 p.m. Wed. 10 @Atlanta United 2 ESPN+ 7 p.m. Sun. 14 @New York Red Bulls II CW 5 p.m. SUPERLATIVES TEAM Hounds High Hounds Low Category Opp High Opp Low 11 - vs. Toronto (4/7) 0 - Seven times Points 5 - Three times 0-14 times 4 - vs. Toronto (4/7) 0 - Seven times Goals 2 - Three times 0-14 times 3 - Two times 0 - Eight times Assists 1 - Seven times 0-15 times 20 - at Richmond (6/2) 5 - at Charleston (6/23) Shots 15 - Two times 2 - at OTT (7/8) 9 - vs. Richmond (8/1) 1 - Two times SOG 5 - Three times 0 - Three times 5 - at Louisville (6/27) 0 - Three times Saves 6 - Two times 0 - Two times 23 - vs. New York (6/16) 8 - vs. Indy Eleven (5/11) Fouls 21 - at Bethlehem (8/12) 5 - vs. Indy Eleven (5/11) INDIVIDUAL Category Riverhounds SC Opponent Points 7 - Neco Brett vs. Toronto (4/7) 2-11 times Goals 3 - Neco Brett vs. Toronto (4/7) 1-11 times Assists 2 - Kenardo Forbes vs. Richmond (8/1) 1 - Seven times Shots 6 - Two times 6 - Lebo Moloto, Nashville (3/24) SOG 4 - Neco Brett [vs. NY (6/16), vs. RIC (8/1)] 3 - Junior Flemmings, Tampa Bay (5/19) Saves 5 - Dan Lynd at Louisville (6/27) 6 - Trevor Spangenberg, RIC (6/2) and (8/1) LAST TIME OUT CLUB NOTABLES All-Time Leading Goal Scorer...
