WELCOME FROM GARY McALLISTER WELCOME FROM MICHAEL O NEILL After a disappointing start to our UEFA Nations League journey, we now face a tough fixture in Dublin against the Republic of Ireland followed by our final group match at home to Austria. I have been involved in these games many times before as a player, and despite not having achieved positive results I look forward to the challenge this time around. We all have fond memories of how both sets of fans were rewarded for their support in France at Euro 2016, so there is no doubt that it will be a great atmosphere. We see this game as a great opportunity to prepare ourselves for playing Austria on Sunday, but there will be a competitive edge to this game, as there is with any match against the other home nations and we want to win. We look forward to another experience of the amazing Northern Ireland travelling support. I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable trip. #GAWA Hello and Welcome to the 12th Man guide. I m not sure any game against your nearest rivals in football can ever be entirely friendly - pride and bragging rights are always at stake. Having witnessed victories in Dublin at both Full and B international level against the Republic of Ireland in years gone by, I can tell you that they are occasions to be enjoyed! There has been a lot of discussion and planning ahead of this game, over a period of several months. Ideally the information around ticket collection and travel arrangements would have been released much sooner and it has been frustrating for us all. However, now that the information is out there, I hope we can all look ahead to the day and the match. It is important for us to bear in mind the good reputation we ve earned over many years as Northern Ireland fans. I ve always been proud to recall the reception we received in places such as Turkey, the Czech Republic, Bosnia- Herzegovina and of course France, where our good conduct was widely recognised and applauded. We want the bragging rights, but let the headlines be all about the football. Let s get behind our team. Enjoy the day, enjoy the match. #GAWA Gary McAllister Chairman, AONISC Michael O Neill National Team Manager 2
