2018 PRESIDENTS MESSAGE Once again, I take great pride, on behalf of myself & the Show Committee to extend a very warm welcome to join us at the 111th Mullumbimby Show. Firstly I d like to thank all our show goers from 2017. We had quite a wet weekend yet that didn't stop our community attending & having a great time. I take my hat off to the Show Committee who support me & spend many hundreds of hours each year making the show the very best it can be. It takes a huge effort from dedicated volunteers to make the Mullumbimby show such a great success. The committee varies the entertainment each year so there is something that everyone will enjoy. There will be live music on the stage Saturday & Sunday. The truck parade will make its way to the showground on Saturday morning to join all the favourites of this great country show. In the main pavillion this years theme is the sugar cane industry. Be sure to see the poultry pavillion, cattle displays, showjumping, show horses, sideshow alley for the adventurous & finish off your Saturday evening with fireworks. I would like to make mention of the wonderful work from Life Member Winfried Klepp. We unfortunately lost Winifred since last years show. He was the chief steward for the poultry pavilion, a devoted committee member & will be sadly missed. This year we are pleased to have Neil Farquar as our Official guest to open the show. Neil was our honorary vet for many years, has officiated as a judge for Showgirl competition and also is a Board Member at Major Sponsor Mullumbimby Rural Co-Op. We have a terrific trotting program on both days with horses & drivers from NSW & QLD. On Sunday we welcome back Showtime FMX stunt riders. These guys showcase their tricks to audiences around the globe. After the bike riders have finished the show will be wrapped up with the demolition derby & live music playing until around 6pm. The show cannot be held without the help of all of our wonderful sponsors. These businesses & people help out each & every year & I wish to thank you all very much. Mark Ward President
